Music pumped through the tiny space of the abandoned trailer, loud enough that you had to shout to talk over it, but soft enough that it couldn't be heard on campus to alert that educators of what was happening with the majority of their students.
It was jam packed with students, from freshmen to seniors, shoulder to shoulder with each other as everyone tried to move to the beat of the bass pumping from the portable speaker someone had brought. The lightbulbs had all been replaced, hues from every color of the rainbow illuminating the rooms, creating a more party worth ambiance.
And Blair felt right at home.
Back home, Blair had made a name for herself at the local club, using an ID that she'd swiped from one of her old friends. They didn't look anything alike except for their height and hair color, but with a few bats of her eyes at the bouncer and the short jean skirt she'd worn had granted her access that first night and she hadn't needed it since.
When she drank, all she wanted to do was sway to the music and let it help her escape from reality for awhile and that's exactly what she was doing. After asking Cassidy to stay and help her pick out an outfit, the two girls had done a little pre-gaming before they headed out, just to make sure that they had a good time regardless of what the party was like. After some quick decision making back at her grandfather's house before they left, Blair had decided to swipe a few bottles of liquor, and it had paid off.
Never the one to get all glam with tight dresses and high heels, Blair was glad she decided to stay true to her boots as they had to trek up and over hills in order to get to the side of the campus where the trailer sat, which Cas had failed to let her know about. For someone who was so lean, Blair wasn't in the best shape and was halfway to giving up just as the trailer came into view ahead of them, the lights leaking through the curtains of the windows - the only insight that something was going on inside until the girls got a bit closer, hearing the muffled sound of the music.
When they walked in, no one greeted them, most of the kids were already close to blacking out from what she noticed. They didn't waste any time getting wasted. Cas led her through the main room, heading back towards the tiny kitchenette in the back corner, where she introduced her to a couple of her friends. Blair nodded at them, taking in their appearances. They looked a bit closer to what she was used to; disheveled and clad in leather. She fit right in with them.
Despite her initial feeling towards Cas, she was surprised someone so blonde was actually not much of a Malibu Barbie wannabe. The girl was decked out in tight jeans and a barely there tank top that she covered up with a sheer long sleeve top and high boots. She was almost someone Blair could be jealous of, but her personality was still too meek. Nothing that Blair couldn't help with after some time, though.
While Cas and her friends caught up, Blair decided to wander, taking in her new classmates before any of them could really do the same to her. She was sure that when she started classes they'd all spend more than enough time eyeing her up to see what she was all about, but right now she had the advantage.
She wormed herself in between drunken teenagers as she pushed toward the middle of the makeshift dance floor, letting herself move to the sound of the dance music that pulsed through her. There was no time. There was no problems. This was the only time she could push everything away and if she tried hard enough, she could probably forget that she wasn't at home in the club she was so used to.
Time ticked by and after a few more drinks, Blair decided she'd had enough of the party, deciding to head back to the dorms. She was amazed by all the kids that were dropping like flies, having drank too much too fast, like it was the last time they'd be able to do it. But maybe that was the problem here, maybe they didn't know the next time they'd be able to be free like this.
Searching around for Cas, Blair couldn't find her anywhere, deciding it wasn't really worth it to look for her much longer. Who knew what she was up to. Instead, Blair left the trailer silently, pushing open the door and reveling in the fresh air. Hours had passed since she hadn't been breathing in recycled air from sweaty dancing teens. She'd drank just enough to get a good buzz going, but she was still coherent as she headed back towards the main building, taking in her new surroundings.
At night, this place didn't look like so much of a school. It was quiet enough for her to hear crickets in the background and if she pretended, it seemed like a normal college town, but she was pretty sure that if she tried to leave, there'd be consequences, unlike a normal college town. Her eyes scanned up and down the buildings looking for other signs of life, but it was dark and still as she moved. Before she reached the entrance, the corner of her eye picked up a light turn on in one of the dorm rooms. Nosy as she was, she was interested to know who was missing out on the party behind her.
Probably someone who wasn't invited, she thought to herself. Then she paused, squinting her eyes at the room, watching as a shadow passed by the light. She made out a tall, lanky figure. Biting her lip, a smile tugged at the corner of her mouth as she pulled the door open, making her way towards where she suspected the room was.
The hallway was eerily quiet as her boots thudded down the carpeted floor, drawing her closer to her destination. Much to her surprise, when she arrived, the door was slightly ajar, like whoever was in there had just only gotten back and forgotten to close the door behind them. Her eyes lit up as she slowly peered in, making out the shapes of the figure that was just a shadow behind a curtain.
He stood in his room, his back towards her, shirtless. She took in the lines of his back, where his muscles twitched as he messed with something in his hands, that she couldn't quite see. Passing him in the hallway earlier that day, she knew how tall he truly was, but he seemed gigantic standing in the tiny dorm room, like the room itself couldn't contain him. It did shock her how in shape he was, the gray shirt he wore earlier had hidden the defined muscles and toned arms.
In her trance, she almost jumped when he turned around suddenly, crouching down to the desk to his side, pouring a white, powdery substance onto the dark wood. He reached into his back pocket, pulling out his keycard and dividing it into lines. Blair quirked an eyebrow as she watched him lean forward, plugging one side of his nose as he inhaled the drug. Her heart skipped as his head fell back, ecstasy written all over his features as the high took him over. As he went in for for the second line, a smile tugged at her face as she spoke.
"You should be more subtle."
