My heart pounded against my ribs the entire ride, but my mind was made up. I had made it abundantly clear to Rider four days ago that we were officially done, that the bond was shattered. Because of that, I figured I could just walk in, grab my remaining clothes, and walk right back out without any major drama. Boy, was I wrong. When the cab dropped me off at the wrought-iron gates of the pack house, the two guards on duty stepped forward. As soon as they recognized me, their stern expressions melted into wide, genuine smiles. "Zara! Good to see you back, Miss," the older guard greeted, actually looking relieved.
