Two Years Later
Jameson’s POV
I walk through the backdoor of our house leaving behind the screams of over-excited children, and Deshawn yelling orders as he mans the barbeque at my daughter’s second birthday party. Aniyah's mother and mine are both trying to control the chaos. The pair met two days after Alexis was born and it was tense. It took everything in me not to run for the hills as the two matriarchs eyed each other up suspiciously in our living room. Preparing myself for a showdown, I was left speechless when my step mother grabbed my mother in law to be and hugged her tightly, declaring how wonderful it was to meet her. The two had settled on my couch, stealing my daughter and bonded over my angel who just slept uncaring of what was going on.
