The heart and mind often hold very different opinions from one another. Many people often face situations where a battle will occur between those two. The heart is free of limitation and free to be. But, many are afraid to silence the constant chatter in their minds and allow the heart to speak, to guide.
Why? Because to live listening to the ignorant heart and let it guide is to be vulnerable. A vulnerability is a weakness and a weakness can lead to pain. Like a glass crystal, hearts are precious and it's the minds that want to protect it, in fear of it getting broken. Shattered into a million unrecognizable pieces.
