The first thing I saw was light.
Not the soft kind where sunlight would be spilling through a window, but the sharp, white-gold glare of an early morning in Moon Stone territory. A sky so bright it almost hurt to look at. The kind of morning that you just know is giving a signal something important is about to happen.
