“Cool,” Jefferson said. I apologized. “I shouldn’t have—” Before I could finish my sentence, Patrick kissed me, a long, lingering kiss that took my breath away and tickled me everywhere, all up and down my naked body. “That was nice,” he said, as he took a step back. “You’re bi, right?” Patrick shrugged. “I like people, not labels. I like you.” “Cool,” Jefferson said again. “Damn!” Then he cursed when Patrick’s phone went off. I knew it wasn’t mine by the ring. “Phone,” I said. “Those things are an inconvenience.” Jefferson was right. Patrick climbed out of the water.
