58: Piran Piran “This had better work,” Piran muttered. He had a whole bank of hybrids ready, primed with various inputs. He sat in his vessel, deep in the system, positioned so that he could see what was happening and respond in an atomic second. And he had Casey in position. She waited in a rec room on the level above the stone’s chamber, ostensibly having a drink while relaxing. She had her terminal with her, and he’d told her to make it look like she was still working, taking a break to clear her head. He checked the guards.
