Chapter 3

Emily POV

Isabella was shocked to see her father by

her side.

Alexander is a very strict man with principles,he doesn't tolerate nonsense and he won't open his eyes to let Aurora spoil his only daughter for him.

He also has the side of wickedness in him.

They didn't know he was listening to them,he was actually going out when he heard them.

“Someone called you a low life and you didn't interact immediately,you let it go and now you are saying you will teach her a lesson.Common you and I know it all a lie, you called her that and still slapped her.Are you nut?,why are you full of wickedness?”

The slap was too hot to make her shed tears,real one, “When you are not even sure,you are already taking side”,she said, weeping.

“I am not taking her side,I just know what you are capable of”Alexander shouted.

“Ohh please,why are you so bitter, someone tried to hit your daughter,you are not even worried. Am so disappointed”Aurora defended Isabella.

“You are the one spoiling her,and I will not let you ruin her life under my watch”Alexander look at her angrily,he couldn't believe he married someone like her“You are the one spoiling her,and I will not let you ruin her life under my watch”he spat angrily departing from the house.

Auraro faced Isabella who was still crying.

“You don't need to cry, all you have to do is get back at that thing who is the reason why ur dad slapped you”, Aurora said hatefully.

Isabella is just like her mom,pure evil and will always get whatever they want.she cleaned up the tears falling down from her eyes.She looked at her mom and smiled.

*Blackwood Enterprise*

Nathaniel Blackwood is the owner of Blackwood Enterprise, he built it from scratch and will do anything to keep his company safe.

He appointed Ethan as the CEO since he was 21years old.He has two sons and a daughter.selene is currently schooling in Canada she is the only daughter.Ethan and Michael are Nathaniel sons.Michael is a very irresponsible and reckless son ,he bets all the time which his dad's hate and sent him abroad to figure out his life,But Ethan on the other side is responsible.

Michael was like a disgrace to the family.

Ethan follows his father to the company at the age of 11years old,and he obeys his parents ,a very intelligent boy . Nathaniel's important client and friends saw a responsible man in Ethan.

Nathaniel promised Ethan that he will become the CEO after university, After uni Ethan became the CEO.Michael was not happy at the decision because he was the first born and there was nothing he could do at that time.

Nathaniel and Ethan were best of friends before a trailer passed between them.

All these happened five years ago, Ethan suddenly lost respect for his father and now lives like strangers in the house.

Nathaniel regrets his actions but Ethan won't forgive him.

Victoria gets down from the car stepping inside the company, people bows to greet her as she passes .She used the elevator and pressed the fourth floor, that is where Ethan's office is.

When she arrived,the secretary ivanna greeted her .

“Good day ma”she said smiling.

“ Good day, is my son in his office?”she asked .

“Yes ma,”Ivanna replied.

Victoria walks into Ethan's office.There was a large desk, personal library, private meeting space and a hidden safe in his office.His hands were busy on his apple computer.

“Welcome”Ethan said without looking up as if he was expecting her before.

“Hey son,I see you are in your work mode”Mrs Blackwood said while having a seat.

”Ethan didn't still look up,he just asked her if she has recovered fully.

“See who is asking, while yeah, Emily took care of me”Victoria replied smiling as if she knows he will look at her.

Ethan finally looks up.

“Why are you here?”he asked, leaving what he was doing to make them hot coffee .He brought it to the table.

“Drink it before it gets cold,you need it,” he said coldly, getting back to work.

“Thank you gentleman,I appreciate you”Victoria sounded very funny, making Ethan smile a little bit.

“I came to check up on you to see how you are doing before I head home”Victoria said, slipping from her coffee.

“I'm not a kid,”Ethan said.

“I will be staying here for some while till my driver comes to pick me,I sent him on erran” Victoria said.

“As you wish”Ethan said unbordered.

*Regal Paradise*

*Blackwood Mansion*

I was invited by Victoria as promised,I came down from the taxi. The gate man opened the gate for me , greeting me respectfully,I replied with a smile.

I was in awe when her eye met Paradise.

“This is massive,”I muttered, before I knew it.The mansion was really big and massive.I entered the house,a maid came to welcome me in.“You are welcome to Regal Paradise, please have your seat. She will join you shortly,”the maid said, going back to the kitchen to set the table.

It was an order from Victoria.

I nodded, enjoying the view.Shortly after Victoria joined me.

“Thanks for coming and Sorry for keeping you waiting dear”,Victoria said, taking her seat beside me.

I stood up to greet her,she hugged me,I reciprocated the hug back.“Thank you for honoring my invitation,”Victoria said, smiling.

“It's my pressure ma” I said

The maid came to inform Mrs blackwood

that the table is set.

“Dinner is ready dear”Victoria said.

I follows her to the dining room, feeling another present of someone,i looked back only to find out it was Ethan.My heart skipped.

Ethan was also shocked to see me,his mom didn't discuss anything with him .“You are here son,why not join us for dinner”Mrs Blackwood said.

“Why is she here?”he asked, pretending not to hear his mom.

Victoria explain why she invited because she wanted to appreciate me again and ask for my forgiveness for what his ex did

Ethan didn't say a word,he went straight to have his seat at the dining table.Emily and Mrs blackwood joined him.The table was beautifully set.

Throughout,dinner was quite like a storm before it breaks.After dinner, Victoria pretends to have back pain using the opportunity to leave them both together.

Victoria left to do something leaving us together.Everywhere was quite as if the house is holding it breath,but Ethan was the first to talk unexpectedly

“Thank you,”he said without looking at me before going upstairs .

I was surprised to hear that word.

A few weeks later, Blackwood Enterprise launched a health care partnership with Gracefield hospital.I was part of those who came to represent Gracefield. I was nervous and happy at the same time.

I got there early with others,the company amazed me,it was a very wild company,the security was so tight, everywhere looked amazing.

Finally the event started,I was surprised to see Ethan presenting his self as the CEO of Blackwood Enterprise.After the event,o went outside to get some fresh air before heading home.Then boom,he was standing there in front of me.He was coming closer me making me hit my back on the wall.He rested his hands on the wall standing to close to him and whispered

to my ear,“What are you doing at my company” ,he asked with his eyes demanding for an answer.
