Maya-Hey this is Maya from history class.
Me- Oh hey Maya! what's up?
Maya- well tbh I wanna get to know ya ☺
Maya- and y-know talk about the project of course
Me- why do you want to get to know me? I mean, I'm just a nobody really...
Maya- Stop saying that! Your somebody to me, and that's why I want to know more about you
Me- Well, if you insist, in 15, and I'm a writer.
Maya- Well I already knew that! Tell me stuff I don't know!
Me- I moved from California to New York 2 years ago. We moved after my dad was sent to prison, so my family could get a fresh start. I'm an only child so when I say family I mean me my mom and our dog lol
Maya- 1st how was called? I always wanted to go and 2nd HOW COULD U NOT TELL ME YOU HAD A DOG?!?!
Me- Cali was hot and I just did!
Me- Tell me something about you now!
Maya- My life isn't anything special... don't want to bore you with my sad stories
Me- I won't get bored learning about you may, you're a mystery to me and I want you to help me figure you out
Maya- What
Me- Just tell me about u lol
Maya- Fine I like art, I guess you can call me an artist. My best friend is Riley Mathews. My dad left me when I was young and my mom just got married to Shawn Hunter, who actually adopted me
Me-Wow, are you and Shawn close?
Maya- Yes actually. He's kinda the father I always wanted but never had
Me- I'm happy for you! You deserve it
Maya- Well aren't you a sweetheart
Me- Whatever
Maya- Tell me more about you
Me- My dog's name is Pupper because he is a puppet lol. I like school and after school, I want to write full time.
Maya- aww that's a cute name but What's a Pupper?
Me- My dog
Maya-...k
Me- oh I also love tacos and chocolate!
Maya- O
Maya- M
Maya- G
Maya- Same!
Me- lol
Me- Just curious but how did you and Riley meet?
Maya- I Just climbed into her window one day and we have been friends ever since
Me- so u broke into her house and she was like hey stranger be my bestie?
Maya- Basically but I love her though
Me- I love my friends too. Taylor and Hector have been my friends since I was little, we grew up in Cali, and I guess they followed me here lol if they will always be there 4 me
Maya- Friendship is a beautiful thing
Me- Yes it is
~~~~~ day before presentation~~~
"Hey Y/n", Maya walked up to me and gave me a hug sending sparks through my whole body.
"Hey, Maya!"
"Do you wanna sit with me and my friends at lunch today?"
"Um sure," I say hesitantly. For a second Maya looks excited and happy that I said yes, but she is interrupted when Farkle asks her for the time.
The bell rang and Maya and I walk hand in hand into the cafeteria. I sit down next to Maya. All of her friends have wide eyes and look at Maya shocked.
"Guys this is Y/n, Y/n this is Riley, Lucas, Zay, Farkle, and Smackle."
"Nice to meet you all," I say warmly.
"Nice to finally meet you to Y/n", they all say in unison.
What do they mean finally? Has Maya been talking about me?
During the rest of lunch I learn more about Maya's friends, they seem super nice.
It's now the end of the day and I'm getting my things from my locker.
"BOO!" Someone jumps on my back and I squeal.
I smell the sweet smell of vanilla and honey and know that its Maya.
She jumps off my back and nearly dies of laughter.
"It's not funny", I pout.
She contains her laughter and walks over to me and kisses my cheek quickly.
"Sorry, but you should have seen your face." I giggle in response.
"Anyway, you remember what we talked about for the project?"
"Yeah, everything is ready for tomorrow," I reply.
"Cool, text me later?"
"Sure", I smile.
She begins walking towards the door.
"Oh, and tell Pupper I said hi!"
I laugh.
"Will do," I say.
It's funny how much she loves my dog even though they never met. It's cute, I must admit.
~~~Presentation Day~~~~
"Okay so the next group will be Ms.Hart and Ms.Y/l/n," Mr.Mathews says.
I get up and walk over to him.
"For the start of the presentation it's just gonna be me, but Maya joins me up here after that, is that okay", I ask whispering in his ear.
"I'll allow it", he says.
"Okay hi everyone so for Maya and I's performance, we decided to do something a bit different. I don't really talk much so most of you don't know that I'm a writer. But the story we chose to do, is one that I wrote myself. And to be completely honest, I wouldn't be doing this right now if it wasn't for Maya's convincing me".
The class laughs and so do I, but what sticks out to me the most, is how beautiful Maya is when she giggles.
"Basically, there is a girl who likes another girl. Brianna likes this girl a lot. She likes everything about her. Her long curly hair, her skin, her deep eyes, her voice, her mind, everything. But what she loves the most is her smile, she was sooo addicted to that smile", I giggle knowing I wrote this about Maya.
"So one day she asked out the other girl named Harper."
"And Harper thought that Brianna was amazing. A total cutie who deserved to be treated like a queen. She wanted to be the one to spoil Brianna", Maya spoke while walking up next to me.
"She liked Brianna for a long time, so long, in fact, she started to imagine what a relationship with her would be like. To hug her, hold her, kiss her."
Maya turned and faced me and her eyes flicked to my lips, and I felt as if time itself stopped and there was nobody except her and me. She started slowing leaning in closer and closer to my face until...
*COUGH*
someone coughed and I jumped back a little startled.
"U-um they started dating and fell so deeply in love with each other that they would do anything for the other", I spoke quickly because I was still in shock from what just happened.
Maya, on the other hand, was staring at me as if she was studying my soul.
"A-and basically Harper killed someone and Brianna lied for her so they both died. The end."
Before I could comprehend what the hell was going on, I felt soft fingers wrap around my wrist.
Maya was pulling me into the hallway.
"Kiss me," Maya spoke sternly.
My eyes went wide and I didn't know how to respond.
"What?" I ask in shock and confusion.
"Kiss me right now so I know that these feelings I have for you aren't just platonic or a phase."
Damn, she is hot when she is so demanding. Daddy Maya? What?
"Kiss me because I am f*****g falling for you and I need you to catch me Y/n!"
At this point, I can't hold myself back anymore. I capture her lips in a hungry and passionate kiss. At first, she is in shock from my sudden but quickly kisses back. Her lips taste even better than I ever could have imagined. Like cotton candy and strawberries. They are so soft that I don't want to pull back. Not to mention the circus going on in my stomach. I'm so excited I'm worried that I'm shaking. Even still, I could kiss her forever. I only pull back when we both are in need of a breath. We look into others eyes for what seems like an eternity, smiling stupidly.
"Falling for me huh", I smirk.
"Don't get cocky now Y/l/n," she giggles.
"Yeah doesn't get cocky, Y/n", I hear Mr.Mathews voice.
We pull away from each other and blush a deep shade of red.
"Hate to interrupt your moment, but I have a class to teach, and I need you two in it sooo," he says.
"Oh sorry right, Maya says."
We both walk back into the class and our friends smirk at us causing us to blush again. We sit down, and for the rest of the class, we share occasional glances at each other, winking and smiling.
