Thunder!..
Raelle lay facing the ceiling as cold sweat ran down her face, she was waiting for the next bad thing to happen as rainy nights to her were signs of doom. she racalled thirteen years ago how her brother came back covered in blood, he was attacked by a notorious cult group, he had refused to give his phones to them and as a result he was brutally maimed, it was a miracle that he was able to find his way home under the heavy downpour. she could still remember the terrorized looks on her parents' face
"my God!..." her father screamed making her mother race from the kitchen to see what had gone wrong "what...happened to you" Mrs Olumide asked as her hands shakily touched her son's face that was covered in blood and mud "I was attacked by some armed boys, they took my phone and money, they tried to kill me but somehow I managed to escape and the guy with the gun missed his shot" Kelvin replied breathlessly "the ambulance is here let's go you're loosing too much blood" Mr Olumide who was on a call suddenly said as he quickly gave support to his son so they could make it to the van outside. "Raelle, honey please shut the doors and don't open up for anyone until we re back okay?" "yes mum" little Raelle responded visibly shaken by the sight of her elder brother and that night was the last time she ever saw her eldest brother because he died that night due to excessive blood loss.

The Olumide's, a family of five children was a closely knitted Catholic family that resided in festac Lagos, three of their children schooled in Brimsley academy ikeja which was a boarding school leaving only the first born Kelvin who was in the University and the last born Raelle who was still in primary school at home with their parents. life was perfect for them until Kelvin got attacked and died due to blood loss, the once warm and happy family became cold as everyone had to face their different demons. For Mr Olumide he blamed his son's death on his not being strict enough,if only he had insisted on not letting him go out that late Kelvin would still be here with them. for his wife she blamed it on the fact that despite her pleas her husband still chose to build in festac a place that was known for notorious cult activities if only she had stood her ground they wouldn't be here, she wouldn't have lost her first son, and for the rest of their children, aside having lost their brother, they were made to also deal with their bitter parents.
The three children Kennedy, Raphael and Kayla at Brimsley academy had to come back home after hearing the news of their brother's demise. For Raelle it all seemed like a long scary dream and she desperately wished for an end , one moment Kelvin was promising to take her along to Kareoke night with his friends, and the next moment he was DEAD, having her other siblings back home wasn't as exciting as it used to be for her this time as she could feel the numbness emanating from everyone around.
