Maruva replied – Yeah, dumbo. Watching Indian Idol on Sony channel. What are you doing?
Vedant - I’m on my laptop, browsing stuff on architecture.
Maruva - What is my mother-in-law doing?
Vedant - Preparing jowar roti for me. And my favorite ennegayi today.
Ennegayi is a South-Indian brinjal dish usually had with rice roti . An entire brinjal is dipped in the sabji without chopping, just partially cracked open with a knife.
Maruva- Yeah. Have eaten it in Mugilupete, my grandma used to prepare it. I remember, she used to make it on a mud furnace. Akankash and I used to have the roti sitting together. She would serve us hot ones one by one. It used to be outstanding.
Vedant - Oh …………Okay. He understood
