Gabriel
I am seriously considering going to therapy. I feel the need to see a psychologist urgently. How is it possible that I, Gabriel Ziegermann, the biggest expert in women, can't get one out of my head? And what’s worse, she even invades my thoughts to the point where I call out her name while I am having s*x with someone else.
This is crazy!!! It’s almost as if she cast a spell on me or something, I mean there is no other explanation for it or else how is it possible that in two different s****l encounters with two different women? I can’t stop thinking about this woman, even though I haven’t even kissed her yet. I’m frustrated and on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
“What is on your mind, Gabriel?" asks a sleepy Lucrecia lying beside me, “You seem to be somewhere else”.
“I’m here, but not for long,” I reply. “Go back to sleep. I must go.”
“So soon? It is Saturday, stay a little bit longer.”
“I have other plans today; I will see you later.”
“HEY!”, she says, “I must say you really redeemed yourself after that little incident last night, you’ve never been so fiery, passionate, and speechless before. A complete stallion, I must say”. At least one of us enjoyed it.
“I am glad you are satisfied.”
“You still need a lot more redemption after calling me by some idiotic woman’s name while we were having sex.”
“Watch your mouth, Lucrecia.” I don’t know why I just said that, but I don’t like the way she is talking about Lucia.
She is wide awake now and angrily gazes at me.
“You said she is nobody important but somehow you are upset over what I just said? Who is she?” Lucrecia asks, desperately. She is my pain in my neck. “I still haven’t forgiven you for that incident, yet here you are defending her.”
“I never asked for your forgiveness. If great s*x wasn’t good enough for you, then there is nothing else I can do. Never mind. Go back to sleep.”
“Gabriel!”, she exclaims. “Don’t go. You better tell me right now who that woman is, or you can forget about coming here ever again unless you apologize to me".
“As you wish. Bye Lucrecia.”
Just what I need now, me apologizing to her. The day that happens, I will no longer be Gabriel Ziegermann. Last night was already bad enough for me thanks to that witch. I must do something, I must get Lucia off my mind, she won’t ruin my s*x life, there is no way that is gonna happen.
“Gabriel!” Lucrecia shouts, once again. Ugh, here we go again, why do women like to argue all the time? “Whoever that woman is, she can’t be better than me, otherwise, you wouldn’t be here right now.”
“I am here because she hasn’t agreed to anything yet,” I retort.
I storm out of her apartment before she reacts to my comment. I know she heard it even though I said it to myself.
Two hours later I find myself at the club even more frustrated than I was last night. I can’t believe this; I can’t even focus on a stupid tennis match.
“I won! “, Sebastian celebrates, “Amazing! I don't know what it is that has you so distracted but I am loving it, it has given me the satisfaction of beating you.”
“Well, enjoy it Sebastian, next time you won’t be so lucky.”
He takes out his phone and starts taking pictures. Unbelievable.
“Sebastian, you are acting like a child.”
“I need some proof for my kids, friends and family.”
“You are so annoying.”
“No more than you.” He takes a picture of me while smiling victoriously, followed by a selfie.
“Are you done with the show?” I ask, annoyed.
“No, I ‘m just getting started, this is a victory I need to enjoy a little longer,” he teases.
“Apparently I am satisfying everyone today while I am about to kill someone,” I complain, my voice filled with disappointment.
He sits beside me teasing me for a while longer, until he finally changes the subject.
“Seriously, do you want to share it with the class? What is going on with you? I am all ears.”
I thought about whether to tell him or not, I wanted to keep this to myself and not make a big deal out of it. However, I need some good advice, and there is no one better than Sebastian for that.
“Alright. Have you ever been with a woman while thinking about another one?” I ask, and he raises his brows. “Even worse, have you ever called out another woman’s name while having s*x with someone?”
“Mmm, yeap, once. Your sister and I almost saw the end of the tunnel that time, he confesses, and I look at him in disbelief. I mean, does he want to become worm food, or what?
“What did you just say?” I reply, my tone filled with anger. “Do you want me to break every single bone in your body?” I can’t believe he just told me he fantasizes about another woman when he is with my sister.
“No, you idiot.”, he smacks me in the back of my head. “I mean, I once called out Sabrina while having s*x with another woman.
Back then your sister didn’t even give me the time of day. But I remember that woman blasphemed me and my poor mother to hell. Plus, I ended up with a big wound in my head.
“That’s different, you were already in love with Sabrina back then.”
“Wait a minute!” He exclaims with excitement. “Is there finally a woman who has gotten into your head in such a way that you messed up like that? Today feels like Christmas day!”
“No. You have been saying stupid nonsense lately,” I respond, trying to deflect the situation. How do I get out of this one, “I was just wondering how embarrassing a situation like that must be like. I would never want to be in those shoes,” I lied.
“Yeah, and now, you are going to tell me that it happened to a friend of a friend, right? Come on, Gabriel. I know you well enough to know when you are lying. Unless you don’t trust me,” Sebastian says skeptically.
“It is not about trusting you,” I reply, feeling a bit frustrated. I don’t even understand myself right now. “Let’s just say I was with a woman, and I accidentally called her by the wrong name. No one in particular, just a random name. I couldn’t remember her name and I blurted out the first name that came to my mind, yet she was very upset.”
“Dude, let me make this clear: if you call out someone’s name in the middle of having s*x with another woman, then it definitely means something. So, what is exactly bothering you? Thinking about someone special or that your brain-dead Barbie Lucrecia is upset?”
“I never said it was Lucrecia. It was another girl, and I’m not worried. It is just that it has never happened to me before, and it feels weird. So, what should I do about it?” I ask, seeking advice.
“Let’s get one thing straight. We both know it was Lucrecia who you were with last night, no doubt about it. Which means you definitely know her name, so this other girl must be special. On the other hand, back to your question, I have no idea what you should do. I resolved my problem when I married your sister,” he says, offering me unhelpful advice.
“Don’t make such a big deal out of it. Maybe all you need is to have s*x with this girl and that will solve the issue,” he suggests and that's precisely what I was thinking. “Unless you’ve already done it and ended up liking her. In that case, you are in trouble my friend,” he warns. “So, to which saint should I light my candles?
“Saint? What do you mean?” I ask, confused.
“It is a miracle that there is a woman out there who makes you call out her name while having s*x with Lucrecia. This woman is a saint, she is my idol. I adore her, I worship her.“ I laugh at the things he comes up with.
“She is no saint, trust me. Maybe more like a disturbing witch.” He bursts into laughter.
“I am telling you; she is my idol. I am loving this day, I will never forget it,” Sebastian exclaims enjoying the banter.
I gather my belongings, slightly annoyed with my friend making fun of me, some friend.
“You are right about one thing,” I say confidently. “Once I get her into my bed, this will pass.”
“That means she didn’t fall for your charm. How is that possible?”, He starts laughing again.
“Behave yourself Sebastian unless you want me to punch you. “Your kids behave better than you do.”
“You keep digging yourself deeper with every word you say, and it makes me adore her even more,” Sebastian taunts.
“I hate you. Let’s go,” I say, wanting to change the subject.
Now, the question is: What should I do to see her again? The rest is easy; a smile, some flattering words, maybe dinner and I’ll have her in my bed in no time. No woman can resist my charm.
Two days later I found myself looking at some prints and reports from Melithes Kerls Hospital. Thoughts of those kids lingered in my mind. I wondered how they were doing. They practically have to work with their bare hands at that hospital. That is why I asked Petter to take me to Wedding first thing in the morning.
“Good morning, to the office?”
“No, take me to Wedding”, I replied, and he looked at me as if I had made a joke. ”Let’s go to the hospital and tell the guards not to follow us.”
“Are you sure about that? What did you take last night?” Petter questioned, concerned.
“I am perfectly conscious and I’m sure about what I just said,” I assured him.
“Are you sure? Remember where we are going, Gabriel. It is not safe to be without security over there,” Petter reminded me.
“Yes, I am aware of where we are going and that’s precisely why I want to keep a low profile. I am going there to see some kids and I don’t want to make a scene,” I explained.
“All right, as you wish,” Petter agreed.
A few minutes later, I arrive with Petter and Nicandro to the hospital. It is interesting how much easier it is to move around without the bodyguards.
I was able to remember where the Observation Area is and now, I am trying to figure out a way of getting information on the boy.
“Don’t worry Petter, you can wait in the car for me.”
“Are you crazy? Have you seen the kind of people around here? They might mug you or worse. I’ll go with you,” he insists.
“Okay,” I concede. It is probably better that he remains by my side.
I must admit that being back in the hospital reminds me of my insolent angel with luscious lips and a goddess-like body. I need to figure out a way of running into her casually. But first, I need to focus on seeing the kids. On our way to see them, we are intercepted by a nurse.
“Good afternoon, how can I help you?”, she asks.
“Good afternoon, I am here to see a boy who had an accident. He is badly hurt, and I wanted to see how he is doing,” I explain. But before I can proceed, she blocks us once again.
“I’m sorry but you can’t go in there. These are not visiting hours, sir,” she states firmly. Is she really trying to stop me? Nobody dares to stop me from doing anything.
“Can you at least give me the boy’s name and your relationship to him?” she insists.
Why didn’t I think of that before?
“Well, the boy is around two or three years old, and he is on the last bed close to the wall. He fell and suffered a head concussion, which put him in a coma.”
“Are you a relative?” She questions, her tone becoming more skeptical. Ugh, what is with all these questions? “If not, I can’t give you any information and much less allow you to go inside. Like I said before, these are not visiting hours.”
“Listen Miss, I came here on Friday with the Central Banks staff, I saw the kids and I just want to see how they are doing. Will you help me?” I wink at her, attempting to charm my way through. She nervously smiles back. “Come on, a beautiful woman like yourself must have a good heart. Have mercy on this soul who just wants to help.”
“I would love to let you in, I really would. But the doctors here will cut my head off if I do. They are really strict about the rules of not giving information to anyone other than close relatives,” she explains.
“Are you telling me, there is no way I can see him? Just tell me how he is doing, and I won’t tell anybody,” I plead, trying to convince her further.
She hesitates a little bit, laughing nervously. I can sense that I am getting closer. If I insist just a little more, I can get what I want.
“Come on, gorgeous. Let me see those little angels. I only want to help them,” I am using my charm to my advantage.
“The only way I can help you is to have you talk to one of the doctors on duty and you convince her to let you in or give you information,“ she finally offers.
Well, at least that is something. On Friday the two doctors in here were happily flirting with me. If not, I could always try my luck with Geller. I am going in, no matter what.
“All right, let me talk to your strict boss,” I reply.
I hate it when people tell me what to do.
“I think you are not getting your way this time”, Petter teases me with a grin on his face.
“Sometimes it just takes a little bit more effort. I know the doctors here. They were drooling all over me when they saw me,” I confidently respond.
He stays silent for a while and smiles as he says, “I don’t think your charm is going to work this time.”
“As if you don’t know me,” I retort, refusing to accept defeat.
“Good morning, well at least it was until now,” a familiar voice greets us. I recognize that voice instantly and my whole body tenses up.
I wasn’t wrong. It is her. My angelic face, the woman who made my entire weekend a frustrating and sleepless odyssey. She is standing right in front of me, with that same defiant and rude attitude, but even more beautiful than before.
“Good morning.”, I reply, trying to maintain composure.
“I was not expecting to see you around here. Much less asking about a boy who has nothing to do with you,” she remarks, her tone still laced with arrogance.
Wow she still has that lousy, arrogant, and sarcastic attitude. However, she doesn’t seem as bothered by me as she did on Friday.
“Lucía, it is nice to see you again.”
“I don’t remember allowing you to call me by my first name,” she replies sharply.
“Wow, you are still in a bad mood,” I observe.
“I am not in a bad mood, but I don’t think that is why you are here,” she says, looking behind me. “I see you didn’t bring your army of men with you this time. Did you learn your lesson or are they disturbing somewhere else?” Her insolent and provocative mouth is really something.
“I am not here to supervise. I came here to see the patients in this area. I was not expecting to see you here,” I explain to her.
“Well, if I am not mistaken, I am the one who works here so it’s kind of hard not to see me around here, don’t you think?” This woman’s sarcasm is just.... I hear Petter and Nicandro laughing.
I gaze at them angrily and they look away. I take a deep breath and turn my attention back to my doctor.
“What I meant was, you weren’t the one on duty on Friday, but I am glad to see you.” I clarify. Here is the chance I’ve been waiting for. Time to use my charm on her.
“Who would be glad to see a rude person?” She scoffs. I can see she is still not over that.
“Why don’t we just forget what happened and start all over again?” I propose, hoping to smooth things over.
“I am not interested,” she replies coldly, and I can’t believe what I am hearing. “If you are here to see Dr. Geller, I am sorry to inform you that you just missed her, she has already left. I would tell her you came by looking for her, but I have better things to do than to be a messenger, but if I do remember, I will tell her. Don’t worry about it.” This woman’s sarcasm is really starting to get on my nerves.
“Has anyone ever told you your behavior is really disturbing?” I can’t help but comment. She must be getting punished constantly.
“Are you going to file a complaint on me with Dr. Geller? Go ahead, I am used to it,” she retorts. Her remark confuses me. Why does she keep insisting on me and Dr. Geller? She couldn’t have told her about our little encounter already.
“Why would you think I am here to see Selia? I am not here to see her, I just wanted to know how the kids in here are doing,” I question, trying to understand her motivations.
“Intuition, it never fails, Mr.......,” she trails off. Oh no, she wouldn’t dare, she is pretending not to remember my name. The audacity! Could she really have forgotten? Impossible.
“Gabriel, my name is Gabriel. And as far as your intuition goes, let me tell you it never failed until today because it just did,” I state firmly.
“I don’t think so and it is none of my business. Now, what does matter to me is the fact that you can’t go inside, and I am not allowed to give any information to anyone other than the child’s representatives. As far as I know, you are not one of them,” she responds, fueling my frustration. This woman surely needs some spanking and I wouldn’t mind doing it.
“I just want to know how they are doing and if they need anything. I don’t think that is a crime, especially since I am the one making this a better place for all of you,” I retort, and she raises her eyebrows. I don’t know why, but I feel I shouldn’t have said that.
“It is not a crime, but it is a hospital policy. And as far as your help goes, it only involves the building structure, not the patients,” she states, shutting down any possibility of me getting the information I want.
“Listen, let’s try something different. Why don’t you just tell me about the boy with the head injury, the one who is in a coma? You don’t seem like such a bad person”, I suggest, flashing her my widest, most seductive smile.
“If you want to find out about the boy, go and ask his family members. And as far as being a bad person, well it depends on who I am dealing with,” she replies, glancing at her watch,” As usual, you’ve just wasted some of my precious time, so goodbye. Have a nice day.”
“Wait! I don’t know any of his family members, I don’t even know the boy’s name, how do I look them up?” I plead, trying to get some information.
“How am I supposed to know? You are the only person to come here not knowing who to ask for,” she retorts. God, give me patience with this woman’s attitude.
“Come on! I just want to know how he is doing!” I exclaim. ”I don ’t believe you are not allowed to help me out with that.”
“Mr. Ziegelmen, I can’t do anything about it, I already explained it to you.”
“Ziegermman!” I correct her. She is already getting on my nerves. I feel like strangling her.
“Excuse me?” She asks, feigning innocence.
“My last name is Ziegermman, you said Ziegelmen.”
“Ok, whatever, I can’t give you any information, so stop insisting. If you really want to know about the boy, go look for his family members and they will tell you,” she responds dismissively.
“Wait, you can’t just leave like that without telling me anything,” I protest, causing her to roll her eyes and sigh with frustration.
“He is alive, that’s all I will tell you. Goodbye.” With that, she turns her back to me, closes the door, and leaves me standing outside. How dare she? No way, she doesn’t know who she is messing with.
“What an insolent woman!” I mutter to myself, seething with anger.
“I told you your charm was not going to work this time,” Petter chimed in, followed by laughter from both him and Nicandro. “I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t see it myself. It is the second time she ignores you; I like her.”
He is right. It is the second time she not only ignores me but makes me look like a fool in front of others. Now I have to endure their teasing as well. This woman has truly gotten under my skin.
“Stop with your little laughter, shut up and go find out who the kid’s parents are. I need to know how he is,” I demand, frustration evident in my voice.
“What a temper man. It is not my fault there is one woman in this world who doesn’t fall for your Don Juan charm,” Petter replies.
I glare at him, feeling the anger boiling inside me. If he wasn’t such a good friend, I would kill him. I am so furious right now.
“Don’t look at me that way, I’ll see what I can find out,” Petter says, sensing the seriousness of the situation.
Petter gave a few instructions to Nicandro and then he left.
I need to find a way to get that cheeky woman down from her cloud. It’s not enough that she kept me wanting her all these days, but not a day longer. I will have her in my arms today and make her pay for all the times she left me like this.
I will get you off cloud nine, Lucia.
