Charlie watched Savy walk away. He was tired of that sight. He wanted the sight of her coming into his arms. Of her looking comfortable and secure because he"d taken her worries away. Savy"s shoulders slumped as she moved down the hall.
This was all wrong. Today was supposed to be the start of their forever. Instead, it felt like they were even further apart than yesterday.
Charlie knew he needed to give Savy space. She didn"t do well when pressured. He also knew there was no way he was letting the woman of his dreams get away from him.
Against his better judgment, he took a step toward her. However, instead of flying off toward his only destination, he felt a heavy weight tethering him in place.
