"Great job, Daria. You"re a regular Amazonian." The girl in the cape preened at Charlie as she bounced atop the horse like they were on a Merry Go Round. Her spindly legs tried to kick the horse like she was a jockey in a race. Luckily, Duff was the most docile horse on the ranch and ignored her antics as he walked on with his energetic charge. That was now, but back when Charlie was a rough and tumble adolescent, Duff had been known to pull on the lead and buck at the slightest provocation. Charlie and his brothers had provided a lot of provocation. Mainly with each other. Though the horses had sensed the turbulence within them, too. Back then, when they were all young and easily riled up, Duff would pin his ears to his head whenever one of them came near in a clear sign of agitation. H
