Just as Isabella was about to take Alexander's arm, he suddenly turned around and took a box from his assistant.
He walked over to Lily in a few strides. "Here."
Lily took it. "Thanks."
"I'll pick you up after the shop closes," Alexander said. "We need to choose a birthday gift for Grandpa."
Lily had no intention of spending more time with him. "The new store just opened. We've had a ton of orders today, and I'm swamped. You should handle yours on your own. I'll take care of mine."
Because of what Jason had said earlier, everyone now believed in Lily's skills.
Even Brianna had come over quietly to tell her that the number of orders had suddenly skyrocketed.
Alexander, however, was clearly displeased. "You just took over this shop. How could you possibly—"
