Zane and I each got into the cell that we had chosen for strategic reasons and lay down on the floor. We were hoping that no one would look too closely and notice that we weren’t chained. When the door opened, two guys stepped off, each carrying one woman. Without saying a word, they placed each one in a cell and headed back up. Tim was the first to move, right after growling out Mate. He ran over to the cell that was next to ours, but the door had been locked, and he couldn’t get in. Liam rushed over to try and calm him down. None of us could imagine the pain he was dealing with right now. Knowing that his mate was right there at the moment and there was no way for him to take her and run.
