Jacob POV When my head finally hit my pillow, I didn’t think that I would dream with how tired I was, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I’m standing at the edge of the lake back home, looking out over the water. I get the feeling that someone is behind me, but I don’t feel threatened. I resist the urge to turn around and just enjoy the view in front of me. The sun is shining, and I can feel its warmth on my face. The birds are singing, and everything feels just right. It’s the calmest I have felt in a long time. It’s one of those perfect summer days that are just made for being outside. That is until I hear a scream pierce the air.
