Three years later
I make my way up the stairs to the third-floor apartment that Zane and I have been living in for the last month or so. We thought it would be easier than staying in a hotel. Plus, this place backs onto a nature reserve so we have a safe place close by that we can let our wolves run when they get antsy. We’ve been here in a small town in northern British Columbia looking onto a vision that Heather, a former pack mate of ours, had. Heather had left our pack to go live with her Grandmother about four years ago after her parents were killed in a car accident.
