CHAPTER 24: CRAIG

Craig opened the door and walked into the house...his house. He wasn’t leaving his home again without finding out why Liz was so sure he’d cheated on her.
“Liz?” He walked into the living room. She’d put up the tree but it was dark, joyless. Even the presents under it didn’t help because there was no one to open them.
He heard the shower. She was upstairs—naked. His feet moved on their own across the living room. He didn’t care that she’d snuck out of his bed last night. She was up there—hair wet and cascading down her back, her skin warm and smooth. He was hard and ready. He could put off their conversation until later. She couldn’t sneak away from her own home.
His phone rang. He grabbed it from his pocket.
“Hey Dad, Merry Christmas.” Robbie didn’t sound
