CHAPTER 26: CRAIG –––––––– Craig glanced at the stairs as he put the bacon on a plate. Liz would be down any minute. She had to smell the food. She had to know he was here. He put some toast in the toaster and poured two cups of coffee. It was Christmas. She wouldn’t kick him out before they ate. At least, he hoped she wouldn’t. She might even welcome him. She could walk into the kitchen, smile and kiss him, her nails scraping gently along his scalp as her fingers tangled in his hair. He took a deep breath, trying to cool his jets.
