For several long seconds, I just stared at the message on my phone without moving.
[Do you want my help destroying your husband… or not?]
My fingers tightened slowly around the device while unease crawled beneath my skin again.
Who the hell was this person? And how did they know so much about my life?
A strange chill settled heavily inside my chest while my thoughts spiraled uncontrollably. The fact that they kept appearing at the exact moments my emotions were at their worst felt too intentional to be coincidence.
Slowly, I sat up properly from the floor before typing back quickly.
“Who are you?” The message delivered instantly.
Then barely seconds later, another reply came. [You’ll find out soon enough.]
My brows furrowed immediately. Another message followed right after.
