Vincent “Who the hell are you?!” I snapped angrily into the phone, my voice echoing sharply through the dining area. Instead of answering me, the person laughed. A low, distorted laugh that somehow made my irritation worsen immediately. “I’m sure you hate your wife’s guts now,” the voice continued calmly. “Shut up!” I barked furiously, my brows pulling together while my grip around the phone tightened even harder. For a second, silence filled the line again. Then another laugh came. And before I could say another word—The call disconnected. I immediately pulled the phone away from my ear before staring at the screen in disbelief.
