Ashley

After the rally, we were able to go home. The football players had a practice right after. I sent the girls home because we were set for the game tomorrow.

"See you girls at the party!" I yelled as we all went our separate ways. Georgia and I went to her car and left for my house.

“So what’s up babe, what’s your deal?” Georgia asks as soon as she pulls out of the parking lot.

I rub my temples, “what do you mean?”

“You’ve been acting strange all day. First you won’t stop looking confused, and you’ve been extra harsh about the girls hooking up with Cai. You threatened to kick 2 off the team.” She sounds worried, like genuinely worried.

I rest my head against the window and groaned, “ I don’t know what’s wrong with me,” I admitted. “All day I’ve been smelling chocolate, it almost smells like I’ve been walking around in a chocolate factory. I thought Kyle and Cai rolled around in it because it’s only really strong when they’re with me. Then I thought maybe one of the girl's scents was on Cai because the chocolate smell is really strong on him. However, none of the girls smell like chocolate to me.” I shook my head.

“OK and about the girls and Cai?” she asked slowly. “You never cared before and now you do. You like Cai, don’t you?” she almost screamed the last part.

“HA! Are you kidding me? He’s rude, an asshole, only cares about himself, not to mention he’s slept with pretty much every girl in the school except for us. I don’t like him, I don't think I ever will.” I don’t sound convincing even to myself.

Why is it bothering me so badly? I know I don’t like him, I never have. He’s arrogant, cocky and believes the way to be strong is by being a lone wolf. Anyone who pays attention will know a wolf is at max strength when they find their mate. Being a lone wolf by choice is only going to hinder any abilities they have. Some wolves chosen by the moon goddess to be lone wolves are the strongest full-blooded wolves of our kind. The down side to that is, if they aren’t destined to have a mate, then they aren't allowed to mate period. They serve as guards for the elders of all wolves. They are the ones that have a connection with the moon goddess.

I stayed silent for the rest of the ride. I don’t want to talk about Cai or the girls. I’m starting to get a migraine and I just want to be at home. My family and I don't live in a pack house. My dad and brother have offices there and rooms there just in case work gets too much. Our house is, however, right next to it in case of an attack. As soon as my dad found out he was having a girl, he built the house next to the pack house. He said and I quote, "I won't have my daughter in a house with a bunch of mutts." He doesn't trust the boys.

We get to the house and walk inside. Everyone had gone to the pack house to set up the party. Georgia and I went to my room to get ready. Ripping off my uniform, I fall onto my bed. "I have time to take a nap right?" I mumble into my pillow.

Georgia giggles while rummaging through the closet, she keeps spare clothes here because she's here so much. "What color do you wanna wear tonight? I think I'm going to wear the red dress!" She pulls out a red strapless dress. It's form fitting at the top and loosely hangs from the waist. It reminds me of a fairy dress. It's beautiful and I think it would look so good on her.

"I honestly was thinking of the black one. If I find my mate tonight I want to look good, ya know?" I said as I got up and walked to the closet. I pulled out the black dress. It's strapless and skin tight. It stops mid thigh and the back of it almost looks corset like. "Then I was thinking of doing my black converse with it to be comfortable. I don't want to wear heels tonight."

"I completely agree love. Can I borrow your red vans for my dress?" She asks.

"Of course!" I smiled at her.

Cai

"Why am I here?" I say, sighing as Kyle hands me decorations to put on the table.

"Because dude! It's Ashley's birthday and everyone is helping!" He says excitedly.

"It's your birthday to dip s**t, shouldn't you be getting ready? Plus, I have to meet Tayler in like 20 minutes." I wink at him so he gets it.

"I wanted to help. Look dude, I know you've been all pissy since you can't find your mate or whatever, but I am excited. I'm probably going to be up all night." He says, thrusting his hips repeatedly.

"But you've found your mate." My wolf growls at me.

"No one can know." I hissed at him.

"You're going to end up dying. Then what Cai? Either reject her or accept her. I have been talking to her wolf while you f**k around." He growls.

"Why are you talking to her wolf?!” I yelled at him in my head as my hands turned into fists.

“Its part of finding your mate. The wolves find each other first f**k head. Her wolf likes me and I like her. Rejecting her is going to kill you fucker.” With that he disappears in the back of my mind.

I throw the decorations Kyle put onto my lap and walk outside to get fresh air. “I don't want miss Priss as a mate!” I screamed as I punched the trunk of a tree.

I walk out of the shower with my towel wrapped around me. Georgia was done getting ready since I let her use the shower first. "Damnnn gurlll... come here often?" I said as Georgia turned around to show me the full look.

“Depends, who's asking?” She winks at me and we both start laughing.

“Ok ma’am work your magic!” I said, sitting down on the chair in front of my make-up mirror.

Georgia turns on Bring Me The Horizon as she claps her hands together thinking about what she's going to do. She starts with my hair, making sure it's completely blow dried with a small amount of moose to make it not frizzy. After that, she curls my long hair, letting the curls hang down my back. That feels weird. I almost always have my hair up, so to have it down it sits at my waist when it's not curled.

She then moves to my make-up when my hair is finished. She does a smokey eye and bold red lipstick. She takes a step back and smiles at me. “Ok first, I’m extremely jealous of your skin. You never need foundation. Second, your mate is going to cream his/her pants as soon as they see you. Your f*****g hot.”

“Thanks babe!” I jumped up and hugged her. I look in the mirror and my jaw drops. She's right I look f*****g hot.

“Hey sweetheart, the party is going to start in 45 minutes.” my mother mind links me.

“Ok mom! I'm almost ready, I just need to get dressed.” I said. “Mom, is it normal for my wolf to be gone? She's been gone for 2 days..” I asked worriedly.

“That means she's found your mate sweetheart!” She sounded very excited.

I cut off the mind link and got extremely nervous. “My wolf has found our mate.”

“Omg that's so exciting!” Georgia jumps. “Get dressed b***h we gotta find your person!”

Getting up, I grab my dress and black spanks. My dress is a little too short to wear just underwear. I slip on the spanks under my robe and drop my robe while Georgia is looking at her phone and slip my dress on. “Help please.” I smile at Georgia.

I turn my back to her as she zips me up. I walked to my chair and put my shoes on.

“Like I said, you look f*****g hot bb.” She fans herself. Giggling at her, I stood up looking in my full-length mirror.

She's right. I do look f*****g hot. I pulled her to me and grabbed my phone to take a picture of us. I post it to all of my socials. We look hot and that will surely gain traction.

“It's time babygirl, we're ready when you are.” my dad mind links me.

“Well it's time”, I grab Georgia’s hand as we walked out of my room and down the stairs.
