Ashley I threw my gym bag on the floor of the locker room. I'm tired, I'm stressed out, and I feel like my world is getting turned upside down. I lean against my locker and sigh, at least here I don't have to worry about Cai. My dad made the decision to banish Cai to the pack house until the rejection process is over. He's still allowed to come to school but Kyle, Skyler and Jax have to watch over him to make sure he doesn't do anything. I started changing for today's game when I felt small arms wrap around me. "I'm so sorry this is happening to you babe, I wish I knew how to help." Georgia softly said. I shrugged and pat her arms, "It's ok, I mean it could be way worse. The goddess could have mated me to Jacoby." I shudder thinking about it. Jacoby is a really nice boy, but I fully believe he doesn't believe in showers. "At least Cai is hot, and showers." She freezes and drops her arms from around me, "You guys worked it out? You guys are going to go through the mating process?" "What? No! Why do you think that?" I asked her and turned around. "Well," she pauses. I gestured with my hands for her to continue. "I mean you just called him hot." She trailed off. I rolled my eyes, "Yes he's hot, anyone with a set of eyes could see that, he's got the black messy hair and the piercing blue eyes. Do you not think he's hot?" I questioned. "I mean he is, but you've never admitted it before." She laughed. I just shook my head, "go get ready so we can introduce the boys." ~~ We're lined up on the field on either side of the balloon arch made for the football players to enter. The game starts in 10 minutes and the seats are filled with people. There are more females than normal. That is likely because my brother hasn't found his mate yet. All these girls are hoping to be the next Luna of our pack. Let's just hope she's not some dumb blonde. One by one, the players start running through while their names are being called. The girls jump and cheer while they run through I do my best to pay attention, but I keep looking at the crowd to make sure Cai isn't here. I really don't want him to cause issues for my brother. Finally, the last 3 players are called, Jax, Skyler and then my brother, the captain, Kyle. The crowd erupted into a sea of cheers as my brother's name was called. All the girls were standing, jumping and cheering. My brother being who he is, blows a kiss towards the crowd and bows. I smacked him in the back of the head and laughed at his embarrassment. The announcer calls us to the field so we can do our pre-game cheer and we get lined up. We start in almost a square so that everyone can see us. I'm facing the opponents side and the captain of their team glaces at me. He's very attractive, he's got shaggy black hair and hazel eyes. His eyebrow is pierced and his name is Jacoby. He and my brother were friends in middle school and they are actually still friends just not as close. They haven't talked much lately and now that I think of it, I'm surprised he wasn't at the party. He winks at me and then turns back to his team as we start the cheer. ~~ It's half time and we're winning by 7 points. This game has been very close. Both sides are so brutal tonight. It's almost like there's a bet on this game and both sides want to win. The entire game Jacoby has been stealing glances and winking at me, not that I mind in the slightest. I've always had a small crush on him. At one point, I used to beg for the moon goddess to mate us. His pack isn't as big as ours, but it is still strong. We go back on the field so that we can do our half-time routine while the teams go into the locker rooms to discuss what's next. Our job is to keep the crowd entertained and excited. Although this game has been more than entertaining. We're on our second cheer and that is when I notice it. Cai's scent, it's strong and clear, which means he's here. I take a look at the bleachers and see him sitting with some girl, well at least shes a senior. Close by him is the beta for our pack, probably to keep him in check. ~~ It's the last quarter now, were down by 3 points. I've never seen our team play this hard. Skyler got taken away on a stretcher because he got tackled and broke 2 ribs and his leg. Thank god we're part wolf, he will be out for the rest of the game, but he won't miss the dance. On the other team, 3 people were taken away because of various other injuries. I don't understand why everyone is playing so rough. It's actually quite terrifying. We have the ball and Kyle looks absolutely pissed. I can tell most of the team on both sides have their wolves in control, including him. This is only acceptable when we play other packs. On occasion we play human teams, but it's very rare. They set up for the play and the other team gets in formation. I'm sitting on the edge of my seat. This game has been brutal and I would love for us to win our homecoming game, but I don't think that will happen. I look up at the score board, there's only 2 minutes on the clock. There is a possibility to get ahead but that would require Jax running the ball. Hes fast and nimbul he should easily be able to out run the other guys. The ball is snapped and Kyle hands it to Jax. Jax starts sprinting to the other side of the field with the ball. So far, he's been able to stay ahead of everyone. He hits the 20 yard line and something hits him. The impact was so hard it almost sounded like a car crash. Everyone stood up and gasped as we watch Jax and the player that hit him lay on the ground. Everyone on the field stopped what they were doing and ran to them to see if they were ok. Kyle started screaming for someone to get an ambulance as he tried getting both of the players helmets off. Jacoby was with him trying to stabilize both of their necks. After what seemed like a lifetime, they both frantically sat up and looked at each other. Words were exchanged as the pack doctors checked them out. They must have been given the all clear because they both stood up and walked to the benches. Kyle and Jacoby stayed in the middle of the field talking for a minute. They're talking so softly I can't even hear them. Eventually, they both go and talk to the ref who makes an announcement. "On behalf of all the incidents on the field today both teams have decided to stop todays game and call it a draw." Everyone in the crowd, including me, let out a sigh of relief, then cheers for their teams. I ran onto the field and hugged my brother. "Congratulations on your tie?" I laughed. "Ya he defiantly made us work for it today, that's for sure. It's good to see their pack is still as strong as ours." He smiled softly and patted my shoulder. "I'm gonna check on the guys to make sure everyone is ok I'll see you at the house." I started walking back to the girls when I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turn around and its jacoby. "Hey! Congratulations on the tie." I giggle. "Thanks," he laughs slightly. "How have you been? Sorry I missed ya'lls birthday yesterday." "I've been good and that's ok you really didn't miss anything important." I trail off looking down. "I heard about what happened. I'm sorry." He said softly. "It's ok everything happens for a reason right?" I said looking up at him. He towers over me at 6'5 while I'm only 5'6. "About that, is it too late for me to ask you to your homecoming? I was planning on asking you yesterday but I had a pack emergency. That's why I didn't make it to your party." He said rubbing the back of his neck. Internally I'm jumping up and down screaming. On the outside, I'm pretty sure I'm just staring at him like hes an alien. "If you don't want to we don't have to that's fine." He rushes out. I shake my head giggling, "No I'd love that actually." He smiles, "Sweet I'll pick you up at 6?" Then he adds, "Oh and what color is your dress so I know what shirt to wear." "6 sounds perfect and My dress is purple." I smile.
