Ivy's POV The hospital smelled the same as it always did. I stood still for a moment before walking in, adjusting my grip on my bag. Everything I needed was inside it. The agreement papers. And the necklace. I had already made my decision. There was nothing left to think about. By the time I got to the private ward, Julian was already there. He looked… tired. Not just physically, but emotionally. His shirt was slightly wrinkled, his hair not as neat as it used to be. For a man who always cared about his appearance, it said a lot. "You're here," he said quietly when he saw me. "Yeah I am," I replied. My voice came out calm. "There was no point holding on to anything else now. I'm already here. Let get into business." He nodded and stepped aside to let me in.
