Jayden had been relieved that they all made it out alive, but the second he looked at Paul and Norma, and then at the smoking building behind them, the faint smile on his face vanished.
"Nobody went to get Robin?"
Everyone froze.
Jayden did not wait for an answer. He got to his feet and ran toward the building.
Paul caught him by the arm before he got far enough to break free.
"What the hell are you doing? The fire is getting worse by the second. If you go back in there now, you're throwing your life away!"
Norma rushed forward too, forgetting whatever tension she had with Paul for the moment, and grabbed at Jayden's other arm.
"Don't be stupid. The firefighters are already inside. If anyone is still trapped up there, they'll bring them out!"
