Do you even realize how ridiculous you sound?” Regal asked, laughing at the absurdity of the whole ordeal. “What were you expecting, some sort of heartwarming confession? Demons can’t love. We are nothing but rage, and lust, and every horrible nightmare you pure little things are not.”
“I know you can’t love me back!” Keir barked with frustration. Regal watched him sternly as the angel fell silent. Keir remained quiet for a minute before hanging his head. “I know what you are, and I know what you do.”
“So why did you hunt me down if you knew it was for nothing?” Regal asked impatiently, confused at the angel’s bewildering actions. “Have you forgotten that getting into a relationship with a demon is forbidden? You can be exiled from Heaven.”
