After Yuki catches the male and helps him regain his balance, she glances around at the crowd forming then turns and hauls ass the opposite way to go calm down. Jake looks at the male then turns and runs after Yuki. Catching up to her he grabs her arm to stop her from running more.
“I know that was not what either of us expected. I would ask if you are okay but I have a feeling I know that answer. So instead I’ll ask if you want to talk about it?” Jake says keeping his voice calm not to trigger her more.
Yuki takes a few breaths before looking at him. “I don’t know right now. You just told me the story. I don't have time for this romantic soulmate bullshit.”
The male that was the statue slowly regains his bearings and looks around. Seeing the two take off he ignores the questions and as polite as he can moves through the crowd trying to follow and catch up. He manages to loose some of the crowd by slipping through an ally then catches up to his soulmate and the other gentleman. He slowly approaches them. “My lady, I understand that….”
Yuki snaps her head around to look at him then looks back at Jake then back at the male cutting him off. “Nope, f**k this s**t. Jake, I'll see you tomorrow.”
She turns and once again takes off running. Jake sighs as he watches her leave then sticks his arm out blocking her soulmate from following.
“Please, I have to talk to her. I need to explain.”
“I know you want to but she won't listen right now. She needs some time to process. Listen, come to the station tomorrow at ten and then maybe she will.” Jake says then turns and walks off.
Lucian sighs as he watches them both leave. He looks around attempting to recognize anything. He shakes his head and starts walking ignoring the odd looks he was getting. Finding a bench he sits down trying to figure out what he was going to do and say to her. Pulling out his pocket watch he sighs again as he sees it not working. He stands and starts walking again.
Yuki had run back to her truck and was just sitting there, her mind a mess. She shakes her head and starts her truck driving home. Getting there she opened the door only to be tackled down by her dog. Laughing she pets him a minute then pushes him off then stands and goes inside calling him in. Walking through the house to the back door she opens it and steps out. Jazz runs out behind her running a lap getting his ball and then dropping it at her feet. Laughing again she grabs the thrower and starts playing with him, deciding to not think too much about what just happened. Shaking her head she plays fetch with Jazz until it gets too dark then they head inside for bed.
