Ahriman bellowed in rage as his roiling fortress within the worldveil shattered with unbearable, seething brilliance simply because Jesse, the Messiah, the King, paused in the worldveil on his way to his rising from the dead. Whatever forces under Ahriman's command that had not fled when Jesse appeared before them had dissipated with the shock of such an igniting force simply emanating from the Messiah's presence. They did not return to Ahriman's domain of black fire and consuming shadow. They did not escape the blaze of the Messiah's glory, but merely blinked out of existence, no trace of themselves left behind.
