5: MATE

1494 Words
Katherine was searching for her friends after Marla told her they ran off around the back. She heard moaning as she bent the corner to the storage room. “What's that sound?” She asked herself. She grabbed the door handle to the storage room and slowly turned the knob. She peeped inside, and she swallowed her gasps when saw Cheryl eating out Cassandra. She was so shocked, she ran back to the bar. She didn’t have the courage to confront them or let them know she saw them. What would she say anyway? Then it dawned on her. So, that's why they've been acting so strange lately. But then Katherine got a little pissed off at them. Imagine, it was her birthday and her friends were pushing her aside for their own selfish pleasure. She knew she was the least attractive one among their group, plus she was the poorest one too, thus the reason she was gonna be stuck in that s**t fest town while her beautiful sexy friends go off to other countries to pursue their degrees and have fantastic s*x with guys that ate p***y with an accent. Katherine sighed. She just wanted to be seen for who she was on the inside. She chugged down beer after beer, trying to get herself drunk enough to wipe away the memory of what she saw. But then the place got excited by Mitch and Gretchen's wild breakup. Katherine watched as Mitch stormed off towards the bathroom, and her intoxicated brain forced her to follow him. Swaying from side to side, she entered the men's bathroom where Mitch was hiding in. She stepped inside and paused in her tracks when she saw Mitch thrashing the place. He broke the sink and the toilet bowl, and he smashed the mirror right in front of her. Katherine felt his frustration. She didn't care for the fact that her two closest friends were keeping secrets from her. She figured just like her, Mitch might be feeling all alone, so she wanted to comfort him. “Hey, Mitch, are you alright?” He turned to look at her. She stepped back when she noticed his eyes were pitch black. “Get out of here, NOW!” His voice rumbled like thunder. His teeth were sharp and elongated like that of a vampire. Katherine didn't say another word. She rushed outta there faster than the speed of lightning. She was so out of it that she ran into the wall outside and almost knocked herself unconscious. She felt powerful hands clutching her by the collar, lifting her off the ground like she weighed nothing. Her skin tingled at the stranger's touch." Watch where you're going, Little Bunny." The man warned. Katherine rubbed her forehead, then her views came into contact with a muscular chest. She had to crane her neck to look up at his face. He had his lower face covered beneath a handkerchief, but she could see his eyes. They were a magnificent shade of green that glowed like fireflies on a dark night. It took her a second to realize he was the wall she bumped into. “I'm sorry, sir,” she apologized, but for some reason, she felt compelled to stay longer. “What is your name, Beautiful?” The man sought and Kitty almost squirted at the fact this sexy man called her beautiful. “Katherine," she whispered. She couldn't keep her eyes from getting lost in his green ones. “Why were you running, Katherine?” he demanded, his tone rumbled deeper when he said her name. The hairs on her neck stood up straight as his voice echoed in her ears. She never knew a man's voice could get her wetter than the ocean. Katherine closed her eyes as she tried to control her body's desires. In an instant, she felt her body being pulled against washboard abs. The man held her firmly against his frame, rocking his hips in a provocative motion. She looked up into his face and realized his eyes were bloodshot red. She knew she should run away from this crazy, sexy man, but for some reason, she didn't want to. She wished he could remove that terrible handkerchief so she could get a better view of his face. People were watching the couple in awe. It was like she was in some sort of daze. He lifted her in his arms so that her face was level with his. Kitty could have sworn she heard him growl, but the thought left her mind when he sunk his head into her neck, sniffing her and licking at her nape. “Mate," he barely whispered as he sucked on her neck harder. Katherine was too stunned to move, but her mind betrayed her as she kept moaning in pleasure against the man's ear. “You wanna take this to your place, big daddy?” she asked, and the man's body tensed. Obviously he wasn't pleased with her words. He gently released her from his arms, then fixed the kerchief over his mouth again while he stared down at her gorgeous, flushed face. He didn't say another word to her. Katherine watched his flaming red ponytail swing from side to side as he walked away and exited the club. She felt defeated and rejected. “Fine then, asshole," Katherine shouted against the music that was now blaring in the club. She shook her head, as her mind became less cloudy. “Mitch! s**t!" She rushed off towards the storage room. She busted into Cassandra's and Cheryl's f**k session. “We've gotta get outta here fast.” Cheryl puts up a finger, wanting her to wait one second, then Cheryl moved her head faster between Cassandra's legs. Cassandra was already riding out her orgasm as she came all over Cheryl's tongue. “Are you guys f*****g kidding me?” Katherine shouted. Cherry came up for air while Cassandra fixed her clothes. “We can explain,” Cheryl said. “I don't care. Let's just get outta here.” Katherine demanded. Her friends saw that something was wrong, so they didn't question Katherine. “OK, OK, let me grab Marla.” Cheryl ran off. “And I'm gonna grab my car,” Cassandra announced as she rolled her eyes at a retreating Cheryl. Meanwhile, Mitch and his wolf were arguing. “Mitch, you brainless cunt. Go after that girl. She saw our eyes.” “OK, but you have to settle down first. I risk the entire bar witnessing my dark eyes and long teeth if you don't calm the f**k down!” “OK, you're right, but Gretchen pissed off the wrong wolf. How dare she embarrass us like that?” His wolf growled. “Easy,” Mitch warned his wolf once more. His wolf then retreated into the back of his head. The alcohol was out of his system and Mitch could now focus on his natural senses again. His wolf began to slowly emerge again. “You smell that, Mitch?” “Not really. What do you smell?” Mitch wondered. “It's like the heavens. I've never smelt anything so intoxicating. I detect the most tantalizing aroma of chocolate and lilac.” Mitch focused and he too could smell it. He felt the pull. “Yeah, I notice it too, but what is it?” His wolf felt the urge to howl. He once again took over control of Mitch's body. “MATE!!!” He howled. Mitch couldn't believe his wolf's words. He crouched and ran through the horny bodies of people dancing in the club. With his wolf in control, Mitch kicked the bar door off the hinges. Cheryl could be seen leaving with Marla on the back of her motorcycle. Mitch's eyes zeroed in on the blue Volvo that was badly in need of a paint job. Cassandra started up the engine. Mitch ran up to the window, his eyes black as coal. His lips curled back, revealing his sharp teeth. He banged against the window, smashing the glass. “MATE! MATE!” The whole scene terrified Cassandra. “Is a bloodclaat madman dis!” she exclaimed as she shielded her eyes from the broken glass. (This must be a f*****g madman!) “What the f**k! Cassie, drive!" Katherine yelled from the passenger's seat. Cassandra stepped on the gas. “That's it, Cassie, Go! Go! Go!” Katherine cried out. Cassandra continued to speed off into the night, leaving Mitch to drop to his knees, growling in rage. “One of those girls is our mate,” Mitch's wolf said. “Yeah, but I thought mates were a myth,” Mitch replied. He knew his mate wasn't Katherine. He would have smelt her when she interrupted him in the bathroom. So, it must be the sexy black girl with big brown eyes. He made it his duty to get her at any cost.
