Elisha walked into Hope’s room, just as Hope was tossing and turning and crying in her sleep. Elisha stroked her head and started to sing to her, and Hope calmed down. “Come back to us, Hope, wherever you are; we miss you.” Tears started to fall down Elisha’s face, but she continued to sing to Hope, knowing Hope must be in there somewhere and hoping she could hear her mother. Hope’s tears started to ease as she heard her mother singing. Trapped in this other world, Hope looked around, but couldn’t see her mother. “Mammy, where are you?” Hope got up and wandered around trying to find out where the singing was coming from.
