Cold Winter Walk.

491 Words
It's hard for me to tell this story... It's 2010. My name is Doyle, I am a student at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois... When I was 10, walking in the woods, something or someone attacked me from behind. That attack broke most of the bones in my body... I was in the hospital for months afterward... I healed for the most part, my hearing in one ear is completely gone, my left leg works part time, so I use a cane all the time... Before the attack, I was considered legally blind. After healing from the attack...my vision is perfect...I guess the Lord gives, and takes away... Everyday I walk a bicycle trail near my apartment building. I move very slowly, so I don't cover much distance, but I try all the same...my body is weak, but my will is strong... After my attack, another strange thing happened to me. My sense of acuity was off the charts...another gift or curse my attacker gave me... My favorite time to walk the trail is in the winter, during the day or night...I presume people on the trail think I'm odd hobbling along like I do. I rarely speak to anyone, unless they speak to me first... One night I saw a girl close to my age jogging the trail, late at night...as she jogged past me...my sense of acuity kicked in...I immediately felt a strong presence of foulness above me in the trees, then a even fouler sense of dread behind me... This thing enveloped me that night, not allowing me to move... It spoke one word over and over..."Watch" I had no choice but to watch... The other foulness above me moved with otherworldly speed towards the girl, within seconds it was upon her...it was a ghastly sight of horror... After the attack, the Seeker's I now call them disappeared as quickly as they appeared... I called 911, the attack had happened about 200 feet in front of me...I didn't dare move towards the severely injured girl...I didn't want to see the c*****e up close... After getting off the phone, I noticed a figure, or apparition of a woman from another time, move ever so swiftly towards the severely injured girl from the opposite direction...I watched in disbelief as the women swooped up the injured girl...then moved the severely injured girl within a few feet from me... The women from another time gently placed the injured girl on the ground ever so gently... After a few seconds...the woman looked up at me with gentle blue eyes...she winked at me...then floated in the direction from which she had come... I smelled a hint of perfume from another time in the air... thankfully the foulness of the Seeker's was gone from this place... unfortunately the c*****e they did remained...just before the police arrived...the severely injured girl seemed to wake up from her injuries long enough to say these words to me...
