“So where we going?” I asked as I got into the passenger side of dad’s car.
“First, we are going to get some coffee at that little café in town you like,” she said. “Then we’ll hit up the outlets that are close by.”
“Are you shopping for anything in particular?” I asked.
“Whatever you want,” she said. “Baby stuff, new clothes for you, new gadgets you want, whatever your heart desires.”
“I want to be home with Jaxen,” I said honestly. “I don’t know if I’m ready to be away from him for long periods of time.”
“Two hours,” she said earnestly. “Give me two hours and then we can come home, deal?”
“Deal,” I sighed.
“Sheesh, a week ago you’d have killed to get out of the house, now I can barely get you out of it.”
“Well, it’s a little different now,” I laug
