With the venue officially finalized, we were one step closer to the wedding. I know Nova wasn’t exactly a romantic, but I had hoped she would be able to enjoy her day as a bride should. I wrapped my arm around her as she slept beside me. I had another nightmare, so it was hard for me to go back to sleep. I don’t understand why they keep happening; it’s been over a month. It’s always the same nightmare now; Nova is lost in the woods and I’m trapped in the shack. She’s screaming my name and crying out in pain. I’m thrashing as hard as I can against the door but it won’t break and I’m getting weaker and weaker until Nova screams a horrible blood curdling, ear piercing, glass shattering scream and I wake up with my ears ringing and covered in sweat.
