“Nova!” Everlyn screamed at the phone. “Oh my God James! Something’s happened to Nova!”
“What happened?” I asked as I came into the room with Jaxen. He had spit up all over his new outfit so I went to clean him up.
“I don’t know!” she said shaking and crying. “We were video chatting and then all of a sudden, she got knocked to the ground and I heard her scream; then doors slam closed and wheels spin.”
