Chapter 5: Messing with Food

1344 Words
When it was time for lunch, Michelle got a burger with spicy sauce, tropical fizz Radnor with jelly. She carried it on a blue tray to the large group that was at their table. Once she sat down, she took off her tie and started eating. The canteen was buzzing and full of life. Most students were sat down, some were walking towards the exit, and some were getting their food. "Guys, I wanna try something I saw on t****k," Grace announced. "What?" Maple asked. "Basically yeah, I wanna try and drink this water all at once but without holding the bottle." She held her bottle in the air while slightly dangling it. "Oh, you should do it!" Priscilla exclaimed. "You think?" "Yeah, *gwaarn Grace!" Michelle hyped her up and quickly got her phone out. "Heh okay." Grace handed her phone to Maple and opened t****k. She got the song ready which was some lyrics from WAP. When it started playing, Grace held the lip of the bottle with her mouth and had it suspended above her face with her eyes fixed towards the ceiling. They sang along while recording and drumming their hands onto the table, causing a lot of noise which made some staff turn their heads their way. However, Grace continued gulping the water down until she couldn't take it anymore. She spat it out and it skidded across the table with water spraying everywhere. "Ew man that's nasty," Maple said with a grimace. She quickly took her hands off the table so they won't get wet. "Sorry." Grace picked it up and cleaned it with a tissue. "That challenge was kinda fun, to be honest," she admitted and wiped her mouth, although the top of her jumper was a little bit damp. "I kinda wanna try it now," Michelle said. She was tempted to get her leftover Pepsi from her bag. "You should," Grace said, drinking her water like a normal person. "Okay," she giggled and she fished out the half-emptied bottle. She did the same thing as Grace and they resumed the cacophony of chaotic noise. The fringes of her jumper rose above her white shirt, revealing a little bit of her belly. She flattened it down which made her breasts stick out. Maple saw that as an opportunity she reached over to squeeze them a little like horns. "Squeak squeak," she giggled. Michelle shrunk back and slapped her hand away. However, she ended up giggling too much into the bottle, and almost fell backwards. "Careful girl, I got you." Maple reached over and pulled her up by her jumper. "Thanks, hun," she said and started to drink her Pepsi the normal way. However, it accidentally went down the wrong way, and she started coughing which caused the spice to go up to her nose. She coughed repeatedly while her eyes filled with tears. She was desperate to clear her throat but her nostrils started tightening, making it harder to breathe. "Michelle, are you okay?" They asked out of worry. She tried to answer but instead, she wheezed out and let out a chain of coughs. She quickly grabbed her bag and dumped all of its contents onto the floor. She started rummaging through her books and food and makeup, but she couldn't find her water bottle. The girls all got up and started patting her back hard to see if it will relieve her. But her body tensed up due to being surrounded, so she quickly escaped to the water fountain. She quickly pressed down on the tap and began lapping it up. It took a few minutes before she was finally better and was able to breathe properly again. She went back to her table and then sat down, a breath of serenity flowed out of her as her eyes were peacefully closed. "Are you okay now?" Grace asked. "Yep." She smiled and ate her jelly. When lunchtime was over, Michelle went to her Biology lesson with Grace, Joshua, and James. They went into their classroom along with the other people in their class. "Okay class, today we'll be doing specialised cells," their teacher, Mr. Williams, announced with his raspy voice. He had dark olive skin, blue eyes, a thin beard, and dirty blonde hair. When Michelle got in her seat, she got her stuff out and also checked the time on her phone. She glanced at the corner and noticed that her battery was low. She then got her charger out and made her way to the front of the class. "Sir, can I please charge my phone here?" "Uh, yeah," he quickly glanced at her before going back to his computer screen. "Thank you, sir." She plugged in her phone and then returned to her seat. There was an empty seat next to her but she was near two boys who went by the names Alfie and Lewis but she wasn't very fond of them. A few minutes later, Mr. Williams got the PowerPoint presentation up and he stood in front of it. "Okay so as I said when you were all coming in, we are going to be learning about specialised cells and the different types." "Ooooh," Michelle lifted her face in anticipation. she loved learning about those kinds of cells. Probably because it's one of the few things she could always retain from Biology in the previous years, also, she liked the group name they all came under. "So as a starter, who can tell me what is a specialised cell?" Michelle lighted tapped the diamond tip of her pen to her cheek as she thought about the answer. She knew it but she couldn't quite get it at the top of her head. "Yes, Hannah?" Mr. Williams chose the girl who had her hand up from the back of the class. "Are specialised cells a type of cell which are specifically designed to do a certain thing?" Hannah answered in a sweet, angelic voice. She had straight, shoulder-length chestnut hair, almond-shaped eyes, and skin that was a soft shade of brown. Michelle shuddered in disgust at her voice, "spiteful little *sket," she muttered under her breath. "Yes, that is correct," he said and revealed the definition on the board. They all copied it into their books. He gave them one example before they went on the next activity. "Now you've all got a sheet in front of you with the different types. What I want you to do for it the rest of the lesson is go around the class and find the information for each column." Michelle silently groaned in her seat. She never liked it when they had to move around. It was so long and tiring, she'll rather just stay in her seat and just copy like a lazy person. When the teacher put a timer on the board, she slowly slid out of her seat in reluctance and grabbed her sheet. "Joshua, where are you fam?" she dragged out the sentence in exhaustion. "Here," he joined her along with Grace and James. Then they all went around, filling in the information they needed. When they were halfway done, Michelle and Grace stood on top of a table with three other girls because Mr. Williams had quickly left to get something. Someone went onto his computer and played a song on Youtube. Once they got the beat going, they sang along, clapping their hands and waving them from side to side. They stomped their feet in sync and danced in rhythm. People were recording and cheering them on. They did this until they had to quickly get down when Mr. Williams came back. "Hey, how about we continue that after school?" Grace suggested. "Um sure, if I'm bothered," Michelle replied. They went back to their seats and finished the rest of their work until it was home time. Glossary: Gwarn: Go on Sket: What a typical bad/mean girl does. They sleep with every boy that crosses their path XD
