Ana's Died

1078 Words
The anger in Ana's heart grew stronger. She would never forgive Charles and Camila, not even once. To her, they were despicable and deserved to suffer. Betrayal was the most revolting thing she had ever experienced. Ana slammed the door to Camila's room with force. She no longer cared about her husband or her best friend. She threw the bouquet of flowers aside, looking at it with disdain. Tears streamed down her cheeks, but she felt no regret. Trash belonged where it was meant to be. "Ana! Listen to me," Charles, clad only in shorts and shirtless, called out as he approached her. "Please, don't misunderstand this." He reached for Ana's hand, attempting to embrace her. Ana roughly shoved Charles away and slapped him hard across the face. Her face flushed red as she spat out words that cut deep. "Don’t you dare touch me, you bastard!" Charles's eyes widened in shock at Ana's harsh words. He had never heard her speak so cruelly before, and he wondered where the gentle, loving woman had gone. "Ana, please, hear me out. I need to clear this up," Charles pleaded, hoping to mend things. But Ana pushed him away, showering him with even more hurtful comments. Ana quickly wiped away her tears, determined not to show any weakness. "Don't even try to defend yourself, you bastard! Both you and Camila make me sick!" "No, this isn’t what it looks like. It's all a misunderstanding. You can’t just jump to conclusions," Charles said, his voice softening and his eyes shadowed with worry. Ana's sad smile conveyed her disbelief. "Sleeping with my friend is a misunderstanding?" Her gaze was piercing, like a predator ready to strike. "We’re done. Starting today, you, your father, and your mother are all out of my house. I’m going to post about your affair online. I’ll also send a message to your office if you cheating me or stealing money from me. You’ll never be able to show your faces again!" Ana's threats were not idle. She intended to follow through on her promises. It took only a few minutes for her to start putting her words into action. "Ana, just listen to me first. This is all a misunderstanding. Charles and I didn’t do anything. You know I would never betray my own best friend," Camila, now dressed in a t-shirt and shorts, entered and tried to explain. Ana dismissed Camila's hand just as she had done with Charles. "What a filthy mouth you have, b***h!" Camila’s face reddened at Ana’s words, but she tried to stay calm. "Ana, don’t misunderstand. We’re friends, right? How could I ever betray you?" "What kind of friend takes their friend's husband?" Ana shoved Camila and grabbed her forcefully. Camila screamed, crying as she begged Ana for forgiveness. Despite her pleas, Ana didn’t release her grip. Feeling furious, Charles approached Ana and Camila. He slapped Ana across the face and said, "You can hit me all you want, but don’t touch Camila. If you’re set on dying, then do it quickly. Don’t take it out on others!" Ana held her face, her cheeks stinging from the slap. The pain from Charles’ treatment was intense. She vowed to hate him for the rest of her life. "Do you think I slapped Camila for no reason?" she asked as she moved closer to her husband. "It’s because you took my money. You two have been cheating on me behind my back. I’m going to have you both locked up. Remember that!" Ana was determined not to let Charles and Camila have any peace. They had to pay for what they had done. This betrayal felt like a massive blow to her life. After all the years she had treated them well, they had repaid her with cruelty. Ana felt like the biggest fool. She should have realized from the start that her husband's changes had something to do with Camila. Charles had pretended to be a good man in front of her, while behind her back, he became the most despicable person in her life. Charles and Camila, the people she loved most, had destroyed her trust. Ana couldn’t believe that on what was supposed to be a special day, she had received such an extraordinary betrayal. Her fifth wedding anniversary had turned out to be the unluckiest day of her life. "You two are truly a rotten couple!" "ANA!" Charles shouted, his hand clenched as he moved toward her. Behind him, Camila continued to cry, her hair disheveled. Charles pushed Ana, causing her to stumble backward. Her face flushed with anger. Overwhelmed by emotion, Ana was choked by Charles, which startled Camila into calling out, "Charles, no! Don’t kill her!" Charles’ gaze remained fixed on Ana. Ignoring Camila's pleas, he tightened his grip around Ana’s neck. Ana struggled against Charles’ hold, her throat burning and her chest feeling constricted. She tried repeatedly to get him to let go, but her pleas were ignored. Struggling to breathe, Ana used her remaining strength to kick Charles' legs, which made him release his grip. She gasped for air, inhaling deeply to regain her breath. Before Ana could leave, Charles shoved her away. Her head struck the wall with a violent impact, and she slumped to the floor. Soon, fresh blood began to pool around her. Ignoring the pain in his leg, Charles rushed to Ana. "Ana! Ana, wake up!" he shouted repeatedly, trying to rouse her. Despite his frantic efforts, Ana remained unconscious. Ana felt a searing pain in her head, her entire body was stiff and nearly immovable. Through the haze of pain, she saw a shadow approaching—her father’s. "Dad." Ana's voice was barely a whisper, frail and helpless. The man in front of her smiled gently and approached, softly stroking the top of his daughter’s head. "What’s wrong, my dear?" he asked tenderly. Ana wanted to shake her head and say she didn’t know, but her body wouldn’t respond. She could only gaze into her father’s loving eyes. "Dad..." she called out again. "Ana, my daughter," her father’s voice was filled with warmth. "You must promise me that you will always be happy, okay?" With great effort, Ana managed to nod. "Yes, Dad. I promise." Her father smiled and kissed her on the top of her head. Ana returned the smile, and then she closed her eyes. Just before she drifted off, she heard one final sentence. "Charles! Ana's dead!"
