14: A New Life

Zhang Yue's heart raced as she held the pregnancy test, her eyes fixed on the two pink lines. She couldn't believe it - she was going to be a mother!

She thought back to the passionate night she and Li Wei had shared, and a smile spread across her face. They had created a new life, a symbol of their love and second chance.

With trembling hands, she called Li Wei, her voice barely above a whisper. "Li Wei, I'm pregnant."
