After Vivian leaves the room, Eudora returns to her desk and lowers her head to work. But unlike her calm outward appearance, she's slightly preoccupied, so she often secretly looks towards Ryan.
Ryan has always been paying attention to her, so how could he miss that scrutinizing gaze. He can't help but ask, “What are you looking at?”
Eudora hesitates, arranging her words in her head for a while before replying, “Are you and Bonnie getting engaged?”
He raises one eyebrow, not answering but asking back, “So, you don't believe it?”

Ryan doesn't respond to her but keeps asking, “Bonnie's well-educated, comes from a good family. Someone like her is perfect for me, don't you think?”
