His frantic howl trailed off my words for a second, as I couldn’t look away from those poignant emerald eyes intensely watching over me.
Within a few minutes past midnight, a look of alarming apprehension had washed over him as Sebastian couldn’t hide his perplexed grimace, which seemed to have run dry out of blood.
The way he seemed noticeably panic-stricken made both of us aware of the consequences I was yet to face for failing to fulfill this crucial mission.
