The call came into Suffolk County police about a homicide on the corner of Gold Street and Fourth Avenue, a rather upscale area of Oceanview. The victim suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. Rodriguez arrived and questioned the officers on the scene, “Did anybody see what happened?”
“Yes, Sergeant, this young lady here saw a bike rider leaving the scene. She was walking home from work.”
“Hi, I’m Sergeant Rodriguez. What is your name?”
