Chapter 19
Cody tossed and turned that night in the hotel, at first too hot, and then too cold. He finally fell asleep and didn’t wake up until ten in the morning. He swallowed his pills and called Lin.
“Hello?”
“Hi, it’s me. When can I come over? I’m anxious to get spirit trapping.”
“I had to drive quite a ways to finish the prep work,” Lin said. “I won’t be back until three or four. I’ll pick you up then.”
“Uh, okay.” Cody hung up and had the feeling he was brushed off for some reason.
His stomach rumbled and he decided to order room service and go on-line. He only had a handful of episodes of Random Reasoning left, but he was saving them. He didn’t know what for, but finishing the series had to be saved for a special occasion.
