Chapter 2- Nightmare

Sophie puts Matsuda's right arm on her shoulder to help him.
After some moments of walking
They arrived at the Gate.
"We're out Suda, Let's wait for a vehicle to go home"
"Okay..."
Matsuda looked at Sophie's back while he tries to remember the dream he had.
His eyes were blank and he's still trembling.
He looked at his left arm and touched his belly.
"Sop...hie..." he called quietly.
He called Sophie but she didn't hear it.
A vehicle arrived, Sophie called it and helped Matsuda to enter the vehicle.
"Where to?" the driver asked.
"Take us to Parana Pine Road, Thank you"
It's cold outside
Sophie looked at Matsuda
"He experienced it." She said quietly.
The driver gazed at her
"Did you say something?" the driver asked but she didn't give an answer
She leans on his shoulder and they slept together.
Matsuda waked up, she noticed Sophie leaning on his shoulder sleeping
Upon noticing it his heart warmed up but at the same time he felt terrified, the memories begin to get clear on his mind.
"You thought you're free but I'll make you experience pain as long as you live."
Matsuda heard a voice talking to him, It was a voice that he doesn't recognize but It felt nostalgic.
"Huh?" he said with a loud voice.
The Driver looked at him curiously
"What's up?"
"Did you hear it?" he confusedly asked.
"Heard what?" the driver asked.
"There was a voice..."
"You must be hearing things, It's nothing."
Matsuda looked down,
He shifted his eyes and looked in Sophie's direction.
(Her hair's so long)
He reached her hair and stroked it, slowly and gently.
(I like her... When did I realize this feeling?)
(I can't remember when the day we met was but for now, I feel that-
I want to be with her forever)
[Time...]
[Clock ticking]
The car passed a tunnel
It's dark, but house lights can be seen across the mountain.
Matsuda looked outside the car.
He was impressed by the beautiful scenery

A black cat suddenly crossed the street.
Thankfully, the driver noticed it but
The brake was strong that despite wearing a seatbelt it can make them bump to the front seats.
Matsuda grabbed Sophie, he positioned himself in the front to minimize the impact for Sophie.
"WHAT HAPPENED?"
He looked at the driver.
"Huh...?"
Matsuda began to tremble.
The Car's front window cracked, the seatbelt at the front seat was teared up.
There was a faint of blood at the broken window.
"Su...da?"
"What happened?"
Sophie waked up, Matsuda looked at her and felt glad to see that she's fine.
"It's an accident, let's get out of here."
They got out of the car but something was revealed in their sight that made them freeze.
"The Driver...."
"Is he dead?" he said with a trembling voice.
The Driver was thrown out of the car; he fell on his left side.
Blood is scattered around him; his left arm was wounded and some scratches on his body, his head was also bruised because of the window.
Matsuda was frozen and trembling.
He can't speak and the only thing he can do is shake by fear.
The driver shifted his head at them and said something,
"Th..ere"
"as... som...one"
He said weakly, he then tried to point at something.
"Th..ere"
His strength drained out, he collapsed and began to throw up blood.
"The...bag failed..."
They can't react but It made Matsuda's fear increase,
Sophie looked at Matsuda and noticed something.
"Suda... Your head..."
After hearing that he touched his head and noticed that there was blood.
Matsuda collapsed but Sophie catches him.

[Siren ringing]
"Takahashi!!!"
[Inaudible voices]
[Sophie's voice]
[A crying girl]
[An Ambulance]
"Wake up!!!"
[Being pulled]
[Sound of wheels]
[Blinding light]
"You can't enter here"
Fragments...
"Matsuda"
"Takahashi!"
Matsuda opened his eyes.
"A white ceiling..."
"Where am I?"
(Is this a hospital bed?)
Matsuda shifted his head and saw a girl's head
She was sleeping.
"Hey"
The girl waked up and greets him.
"Takahashi, Good Morning"
"Good Morning too, Sauer"
He looked at her eyes.
The girl laughed but a tear flowed which she wiped out immediately.
"Oh, come on, I called you by your last name and you're calling me by my last name too."
"I'm sorry Sophie..."
"No don't, I'm glad you're fine Suda."
Matsuda smiled at Sophie.
He looked at the other bed at his left and saw someone lying there.
"Is that?"
"Yes, that's the driver, He is recovering too."
"I'm glad he survived."
The Driver's face and left shoulder were covered by a bandage cloth.
Matsuda yawned
"Suda are you still tired?"
"Uhh, yeah "
"Okay, have more sleep, I'll stay here."
"Thank you, let me sleep for a while."
(Things keep happening; I wonder am I cursed by something?)
(Oh, I shouldn't think about it. I'll just sleep)

"You can't rest, you must find yourself."
(Look at my eyes, and focus looking at it.)
(You must repay his sins. Behold, the memories.)
"Ohayou Takashi," Sophie said as she looks at Matsuda
Matsuda's eyes slowly opened
"Where am I?" he confusedly said.
"We're still riding the Chariot, you collapsed at the festival a while ago"
"Oh right, I forgot."
He touched his forehead and released a sigh.
"Are you feeling well now?"
"Yes, my head's still dizzy but I'm feeling better than before."
After massaging his head, he put his hand on his lap.
Sophie looked outside and said,
"That's good to hear."
A moment later the chariot stopped.
"You two arrived at your destination." Said the Charioteer.
"Alright thank you, Suda let's go."
Sophie hopped out of the vehicle, after that Matsuda followed her.
He hopped out of the Chariot and saw a large gathering of people at the Plaza.
"Oh, look at that Sophie there's a crowd gathering at the Plaza."
"I know right."
They went close to the people gathering to ask questions, they approached a middle-aged man standing at the back.
The look on their eyes was full of anger,
And some were shouting bad words.
"Hey Sir, what's happening here?"
The guy looked at them and answered.
"They caught him."
"Caught wh- "
It started to get chaotic...
The man arrived at the plaza assisted by the soldiers.
The crowd was shouting hateful words and some were throwing rocks at the man.
The man's face was covered by a stained cloth, his hands were tightly tied by a rope turning it blue.
His body was exposed, it has a lot of cuts and bruises.
There was blood dripping as he walks, his steps leave footprints of blood.
"The Execution starts." Said the middle-aged man watching.
His eyes were full of anger but his hands were shaking.
"Why would It happen?!" said the man as he began to shed a tear.
His teeth were grinding.
"You should die! And be burn in hell! You shouldn't have existed!"
"If only... If only..."
"If only..."
Sophie and Matsuda haven't said a word as they listened to what he says.
"Die you piece of trash!"
Matsuda looked at the man as he was assisted to walk up the Guillotine.
The cloth covering his face was removed, revealing his face.
Matsuda was shocked as he saw that the man has a faint resemblance to his appearance.
The crowd looked at Matsuda and their hands pointed at him.
"You"
"Must"
"Die"
He can't run as he was cornered by everyone.
The anger in their eyes frightened Matsuda, he was shaking by fear and tried to run.
He was tripped before he can even move.
The crowd was holding a long, sharp object.
The atmosphere turned red. He can no longer process what's happening, the only thing he knows is that he will die.
One by one, the spear they hold was stabbed at him. He received grievous wounds as the spear pass through his skin.
They stroked him on his vital organs, his body began to ache by the pain, he can no longer perceive what's happening. He can't think of a thing, he can only feel pain and his cry outs are the only thing that he can hear. He can no longer see the crowd stabbing him.
He tried to move his hands but It was then struck down by someone.
As the suffering continues, the man that's supposed to be executed walked through him.
"Yo!"
In Matsuda's eyes, the world began to crumble.
"Before you go."
The scenery began to fade.
"Take my hand."
"I'll return what's lost to you."
"Lance."
His consciousness was gone,
But his face made a huge smile, his eyes were wide open.
"I'll wait, till you return."
"Before. . . you get lost"

"Oh you showed yourself, well the next time you reappear, that's the last time you will exist." Said a girl.
