“Hey, how is he? What’d the doc say?” Both Ethan and Jake asked him at the same time.
“He’s good, and the doc said a couple days before going home, but Hunt talked him into tomorrow, provided he doesn’t spike a fever or get an infection, which I guess is normal after surgery. They want to keep an eye on him. They told him to have me stay with him for a few days to take care of him.” Van blushed.
Ethan clapped him on the back. “I’m sure my brother will be in good hands!” “You want to come out with me and Matty tonight?”
“Ethan, Van looks ready to drop. No offense, Van, but you’ve had a hell of a day. Evi’s got homemade stew and biscuits waiting for you,” Jake said.
“I haven’t had a home-cooked meal since Christmas when I went to my parents’ house!” Rubbing his hands together
