Karleen padded along with a squad of Magi at her tail. The rest of the teams worked their way through the facility, while she had one goal and one goal only: find the children. She remembered enough of her sister’s friend’s scent to use that as a base for locating one of the children. A ‘normal’ canine couldn’t do that, but wolf shifters weren’t wholly canine even in their lupine form. Unlike the ‘lesser cousins,’ wolf shifters could invoke higher reasoning and cognition.
