The office I sat in was big, with papers everywhere, and I fiddle with my hands as I waited. I thought about what Gordon had said the day before, I never told Ethan about contract and I wonder how he knew about that.
“Miss Ava” Adriana enters the office, and I stand adjusting my clothes.
“Do have a sit” she orders and I slowly plop down on the edge of the chair.
She calls for her secretary who dashes in and hands her some papers before she leaves again.
“It is getting busy” she claps her hand “So..You disappeared” she stares at me through her nose.
“I’m so sorry about that day, I was taken by surprise,” I explain.
“Yes indeed, surprised I was”
“No, Maam…” and she arcs her brow at me “I apologise” looking down at my hands.
