Valerie wringed her hands anxiously as she watched the doctors file out of Rachel Finely’s room.
One of them nodded at her and Roman and went on her way, the other stood before them, glancing over the clipboard in his hand.
“Doctor. Is she okay?” Valerie asked, glancing into the room where a nurse was adjusting Rachel Finely’s pillow.
The doctor nodded, looking at the clipboard for a moment more before looking at them.
“Miss Finely is fully awake and conscious of her surroundings, that’s presently the best sign we have. She’s been stabilized and will probably be going back to sleep in an hour or so.” He nodded firmly. “You can expect a good recovery.”
“And a full recovery?” Valerie asked. “Will she… will she be able to speak?”
