SKY I paced the hospital corridor endlessly, moving from one end to the other like a trapped animal, my feet aching but my body refusing to stop. Each step felt heavier than the last. My hands were still stained with dried blood, no matter how many times I rubbed them together. The red clung to my skin like guilt, like proof of something I never meant to become.
