SEDUCE ME

1264 Words
SKY My hands shook around my phone. The worst part was that I did not even know if I had the right to be angry. I was standing on a yacht with another man, while my fiancé was somewhere else with a woman who clearly meant more to him than he admitted. Maybe that was why he had not noticed I had left the city. Or maybe he noticed and simply did not care. “Are you done?” William asked. His voice snapped me out of my thoughts as I lifted my head and froze. The dining table was filled with food. So much food. Shrimp dishes arranged neatly, grilled chicken, steak, pasta, salads, sauces, and fruits. Everything looked perfect, expensive, and carefully prepared. The smell hit me all at once and my stomach growled loudly. “William…” I breathed without thinking, how did he expect us to finish this? He glanced at me and a small smile touched his lips. “I knew it.” I moved closer and sat down immediately, hunger winning the battle inside me. My mood shifted slightly despite myself. A female crew member stepped forward to serve us. She was beautiful. That was the first thing I noticed. The second thing was her uniform. It was tight, clinging to her body, and the buttons were pulled down enough to be distracting. She leaned forward as she spoke, her voice soft and sweet. “Would you like more of this, sir?” she asked, smiling at William as she leaned close to him. I felt my jaw tighten, I didn't know the word feeling in my heart watching this. She laughed at something he did not even say, leaning closer than necessary. Her chest was almost touching him. I focused on my plate, telling myself I did not care. I had no right to care. Still, my fingers curled tightly around my fork. William said nothing. He did not stop her either, well he is a well-known Playboy. I bet he cares that I was sitting before him. Why does this bother me? I asked myself. You are engaged. You should not be jealous. “Serve her first.” William’s voice cut through my thoughts. The woman paused and looked at him. “Sir but..” “Do what I ask you, I brought her here to cool off.” I felt satisfied with his answer and only let out a small smile. “She’s allergic to seafood,” he added calmly. “Give her something else,” he told her as she tried to serve me shrimp. I looked up sharply, my eyes locking onto his face, he remembered. My chest tightened painfully. Levi never remembered things like that and here he is no matter our argument he could still recall. The woman placed my plate in front of me a little too roughly. I could see the annoyance in her eyes, but I ignored it. My attention was still on William. When she finished, she walked right back to his side, well let's not talk about how rude she had served me. “I can help you peel the shrimp sir,” she said softly, leaning in again. I stabbed my fork into my food, my appetite suddenly fading. She moved closer, her body brushing his arm. Then suddenly, she tripped, more like she faked tipped and fell straight onto his thigh. My heart jumped at once and I didn't know how the pain tore through my heart watching this. Before I could even react, William grabbed her. In one swift movement, he shoved her face straight into the saucepan on the table. “William!” I gasped, standing halfway out of my seat. He pulled her up by the arm. His face was cold, unreadable, and terrifying. “The next time you try something like that in front of my girl,” he said slowly, “you will regret it.” “My girl.” The words hit me like a slap, he considers me his girl. She dropped to her knees immediately, shaking. “I am sorry, sir. I am so sorry.” “You are fired,” he said without hesitation. “And if a single word of what happened here leaves your mouth, I promise you will regret it.” She scrambled away, crying. I stood there frozen, my heart pounding hard in my chest. This was not the playful, annoying William I knew. This side of him was controlled, dangerous, and serious and it scared me. “I am not your girl,” I said quietly, trying to regain control, even though I knew it wasn't necessary. William’s fork froze mid-air as he turned slowly to look at me. “What should I have said?” he asked. “My cheating partner?” I didn't miss the anger in his tone and the words hurt more than I expected. I felt my throat tighten. “Whatever,” I muttered, looking away. We sat in silence after that. The food in front of me suddenly meant nothing. My appetite was gone and my chest felt heavy, filled with emotions I did not want to name. Suddenly, William slammed his spoon onto his plate making me jerk up. “What is your problem?” he asked sharply. “What?” “You keep correcting me. You keep reminding me that you don’t belong to me,” he said, his jaw tight. “Stop saying you’re not my girl. It pisses me off.” I scoffed, folding my arms. “Excuse me, but it’s the truth.” He pushed his chair back and stood up. “I saw how angry you were yesterday. I brought you here to make you feel better and all you’ve done is throw words at me.” I stared at him, shocked. I had never seen him this angry before at the same time he cared about my mood last night. “If you don’t want this,” he added, “we can leave.” “You didn’t ask for permission before bringing me here anyway so you don't have to make it sound like you are doing me a favor,” I said, my voice shaking. “You just forced me.” “Enough,” he snapped. “Eat your food. We’re going back.” With that, he walked away. Something inside me twisted painfully. I hated that I cared that he was angry. I am not supposed to give a damn about his feelings but weirdly I couldn't scrap it out. I followed him and there he was standing by the rail, lighting a cigarette, staring at the sea like it owed him answers. There is always one thing about William, no matter what he isn't caught un fresh, always handsome even when sweating crazily on top of me. “William,” I called but he didn't respond and just puffed out his smoke, his eyes on the sea. “You don’t have to be mad,” I said softly. “I was just trying to set boundaries.” He did not look at me. I moved closer and wrapped my arms around him from behind. He stiffened instantly, and it was only then that it hit me. I had never done this to Levi. Holding another man like this should have felt wrong. But it didn’t. “Stop being mad,” I whispered against his back. He exhaled slowly, then smirked. “Seduce me,” he said quietly, “and I will forgive you.”
