Blake Industry

I pull into my designated parking spot. *spot number 2* although I’m sure it’s so he doesn’t have to wait for his coffee, I’m glad Skylar gave me the spot beside him, closer to the door. I gather my bag and mine and Skylars coffee and head inside. Terry the security guard waves at me as I walk through the giant glass doors and blurts out. “Good morning Ms. Tara you look beautiful today”. I smile and give a thank you nod in his direction as I slip into the elevator. I head to the eleventh floor, the top floor. Where mine and Skylars offices reside. I’m not just the secretary, that’s Sarah, I’m the PERSONAL secretary, or assistant, however you look at it, to the big guy himself. I toss my bag on my desk and give myself a quick look over. Approving of how my dress is clinging to my body, I scurry into his office quietly to give him his coffee. Skylar is on the phone and it sounds extremely unpleasant. “Get me those damn numbers Sean. I’m tired of having to ask” he hissed before slamming the phone down. I jumped not expecting the loud thud and he shot his glare up at me. “Good morning Mr. Blake, I uhm, I brought your coffee” I stutter out. “Good morning Tara. Thank you. I’m sorry if I startled you. I need help with some important paperwork today after you finish your morning run through.” I nod and then I suppose he seen my frown and added “Everything is fine, I’ve had Sean from accounting check into some numbers for me because I’ve been preoccupied with a side protect. Please continue with the day” he had a different tone when he said that, I wonder what’s been keeping him so busy outside of the office. I brush it off and go through my emails forwarding what’s needed and deleting what’s not. I fax over everything Skylar wanted faxed to his lawyer, That’s why this job is so boring. It’s mostly phone calls and e-mails and faxing and watching YouTube on my phone in between. Sometimes me and Sky make small talk when I bring him something or he needs something but it usually doesn’t go far. I finish up my last bit of emails confirming a dinner between him and Dean Archie, he wants to discuss a position in the company so he can improve his campus. Then I look at Skylars office door. Just barely cracked. I haven’t heard a single sound come from his office since I left his coffee. I guess it’s time to see what he needed help with.
